So today i just pulled a male plant which just had shown signs of sex,but it was i realized about the plants a while back. The males always had a very LOUD smell in VEG i mean OMG I WANNA SMELL THIS ALL DAY GOOD,But back to the point,I have concluded that i can spot the male before the sex shows, not really spot but SMELL because if a plant smells like a fully budded plant after 1-3 weeks of veg its too good to be true. But i will say they all have the same smell every grow i use reg seeds.I know some say wait but just smell and if it smells kinda sourish and loud wait to find out if this is true.

I'm gonna have to call bullshit too.I have tried some really expensive ways to detect males but it all comes down to preflowers unless you can afford a mass spectrometer.

I have 6 outdoor plants and 2 that smelled during veg were males and the ones that had no smell are now females. I was actually gonna post about this. Weird. What kind of strain?

i used to think this when i first started growing, and thn i came across females with the same stinky smell in veg, and males with nearly no smell in veg, so its strain specific im sure, but still, i wouldnt rip a plant based on smell alone,

So you can tell males by smell, and you dislike males so you pull them.....but you waited until you had visual signs. Your lies spread misinformation.

LOL @bs smellers Anyway i noticed this smell in every grow and every time i predetermined the sex and YES i waited for visual sex to appear just to make sure i wasn't tweeking or got lucky to spot them so early on.It always smell like a SAC (smell like a sac and see sacs) in VEG. I can not account for all male plants but in my experience it happens to me and im not growing the same strain of bagseed.

"The tallest plant/seedling is always male". Uh huh. Used to believe that years ago. While it is often true it is not always true. I wait until they indicate.

If you are that sure then why wait all that time and take up space?

I never really gave a second thought about until noticed THE EXACT SAME SMELL EVERYTIME not just loud, and as far as tallest i never go by that even tho most time it is true as like the one i pulled last night which had an identical female counterpart.
