Down the Rabbit Hole with ColdArmySoldier

So I took these pictures a few days ago but haven't had much time to write a post and put them up. This above average August heat sucks, making my flowering room be ~85F during the lights on and ~73-77F with lights off (all I have is an evaporative cooler). For the most part things have been good, but some of the plants are being burned (or at least that is what I think it is). I mixed both DQs with ~50% super soil. DQ1 is a little burned, but it seems to be recovering and is now taking off. I imagine that DQ1 is Cheese dom. since I remember Subcool saying how the UK Cheese doesn't do well in super soil.

DQ and Qush day 14 of flower.

As you can see below, Q1 isn't happy AT ALL with the super soil. I mixed all the Qushs with ~30 % super soil. I believe it is also being burned. I am thinking that I will probably chop it since I don't think it will ever fully recover from the extreme burns. What do you all think? Should I keep her going or give her the axe? Do you think I could be having other issues? The other plants seem to be happy with only slight tip burning, so that is why I think it is burning and not a blight/disease. I am speculating that Q1 is Bubba Kush dom., due to not being so happy with super soil.

Romulan in veg is looking awesome! Doing some training to get her bushy.

So 3 of the initial 4 Cognac Kushs popped. The 4th put out its tail then just stopped growing for some reason. Put another bean in a rapid rooter and she just shot her head up today. So excited!

Thanks for stopping by.

CAS, I can't remember if I asked you this already but what kind of camera/flash/lens you have...I'm thinking about a new camera for my wife this Christmas and I'm loving how clear your pics are!

Q3 looks great.! That's weird how differently they react to the SS. I would probably cut Q1 down and free up the space if you have something else waiting to go in there.

Rom and Dank Sinatra are looking really good too...

Thanks for the love everyone :)

Bud - I'm using a Nikon D40 (only 6.1 MP) with a Nikkor AF-S DX 40mm f/2.8 macro lens and a Bower Macro Ring Flash (not used outdoors obviously). I occasionally put a 10x macro lens filter on my macro lens for super close ups. I would like to eventually get a nicer camera body such as a Nikon D7000 (has 1080p video too). I will be taking some pictures with an electron microscope soon :)
FarmerEd, thanks for the compliments. Dug this up from the previous page about my camera. We were talking about getting DSLR setups. Do you know what price range you are looking at? Unfortunately DSLRs can get rather pricey, however there are some great point and shoots out there that have great macro modes so you could borrow the camera for your own fun.

Medshed, I can't wait to compare all our girls. While yours are outdoors and under very different conditions, it will still be cool to see the flavor profiles we found out of a decent pool of seeds. We will have to have a Qush judging session :) I agree about the chopping, decided I will chop her tonight. It will give the girls in there a tad bit more room which can never hurt and also allows me to move Romulan into flower sooner.

Some new additions to the garden!

Awesome thornless blackberries for outside. Thanks Mac!

Cognac Kush. 3 out of the original 4 popped so I started another one. Can't wait! Once I pick my DQ and Qush phonos, i'll be starting some 303 gear.

I may need to hit Mac (or you) up for a cut of those thornless Blackberries. I've got a spot in my yard that they would love...

Let's see some new pics of that Dank Sinatra! I bet she's looking great about now.

Looking FINE indeed CAS! Your DQ is getting that wide-arm saggy look that mine had. I probably told you this before but I liked the outdoor DQ considerably better than the same plant grown indoors. Hopefully you will too.

The Dank Sinatra looks to be appropriately named... :-)

Thanks Medshed, it will be interesting to see the difference between the indoor and outdoor.

Snapped a few quick shots of the indoor girls at day 25 in flower.

I totally agree. I was gonna call you last weekend but I got too busy. You and the Mrs really need to see the outdoor Qush and Pandy. Plus I need to get you that pandy cut so I can free up space/plant count for the NL5 cuts...

Some quick shots in the garden from yesterday and today. Both DQ and Qush at day 35 in flower. The DQ1 is still getting burned from the super soil so I will have to give almost none next time around.

Thanks everyone! The Romulans are rooting so my plastic cup method is still 100% (at 11/11). I know how I am cloning from now on. It couldn't be easier.
