Flowering with T5's??

This is a recently harvested 12/12 rooted clone(sat/ind hybrid).Topped mid stretch gives me multiple colas for,height control,and better penetration under 2g11 PLL's (440 watts total for 2x2x2ft cab).I harvested at 62 days 12/12 for a flushing experiment,but she normaly goes for 2 more weeks and packs it on in those 2 wks.My camera does not give the floro frost justice.
Imho floros main strengths shine thru this style of grow (12/12 rooted clone sog),and less heat (remote mounted ballast and some ventilation around the tubes).Now you can have air cooled hids and such but it is more equipment,more space needed,etc,but with hids you can more easily grow a larger plant.
PLL's are T5's bent in half.

Yes, T5, 3000K should be pretty good for flowering. Yes, an HPS is a much better "point source" of light and can really be a canopy buster and get the light beyond the tops of the plants, however, the T5 is a longer lamp and can usually bathe the sides of the plant in light pretty well

I did the screen of green with 400 watts of cfls and got a half pound. Just use the the t-7 shop lights they are 20$ for a 2 lights by 4 ft which is much cheaper then the t-5. Also the bulbs are much cheaper.

He probably means T8's...Yes it can be done.
Time and time again it comes down to technique.The challenges inherent in ones setup,and goals will lead ones decision.There is a garden far away,where the buds illuminate themselves,and the roots bath in vats of bioluminescence nutes.The mountains and valleys surrounding this place make Pandora look like a Smurf cartoon.
