G-Pen

Does anyone have an opinion on or experience with a G-Pen? I have read several reviews which seem to be fairly mixerd. I am going on a trip soon and concentrates are going to be the easiest way to travel so I am considering buying one. Also if anyone knows of any shops in the valley were I could pick one if you could chime in it would be appreciated.

from what i can gather most of the models on the market are not strong enough to get hot enough to properly vaoe weed. further more i looked into making the cartridges and you either have to use vegetable glycerin, which i dont personally like using or propylene glycol aka anti freeze. when traveling most find the best means of transporting your medicine is in the form of edibles.

I don't have a reliable source of concentrates, but the few people I know who have a G-Pen, love it. I don't know where they are getting oils *shrug*.

I have an Atmos Raw. I use it for dry herb, and I absolutely love it. I had to modify it a bit (remove the spring and put a glass honeycomb between the heating element and the herb.) Glass jacks work well too, when I want a little more burn. But that's the thing, it's a smokeless pipe that works as a vaporizer if you want. Supposedly it's great for oils, but I don't have the piece for that (or any source for oils).

Be careful traveling. Some places where you might walk away from a law enforcement situation for a bit of regular herb, totally put hash in its own category.

I'm nervous about travelling. I'm driving to Oregon via Nevada. All MMJ states, no reciprocity. It's the AZ/NV border that worries me the most.

Thanks for all the info. Looks like im gonna go with the g-pen due to price as I will be taking it clean and trashing it before I come back as its not worth the risk on the way back.

Hopefully you read this before you buy the gpen, STAY AWAY! I hated mine! Make plenty of full melts to puff on, and the gpen is next to useless. The best one for full melts are the omicron and persei, but both are hard to find in the valley. Smoke shop I work at carries both because i requested them.

And which smoke shop is that? What do you mean by full melts. Please explain

Well the gpen, like the persei and omicron, are made exclusively for full melt hash; such as bho, earwax, basically anything that fully melts. The main differences are the gpen has to be screwed into the charger, which doesn't sound bad, but is how mine ended up breaking, and you can only put like a .3 in the gpen at once, while the omicron style you fill with .5-1.0 and it lasts up to 400 hits. Much more convenient, and I would never go back to the gpen. The shop I am talking about has all around most of the nicest pieces in the valley, it's called little Amsterdam in surprise.

I use to shove a sack under my balls.. Just wear a couple pairs of whitey tighties and wrap that shit up so its smellproof.

oh ok . i am used to callng high quality ice hash full melt, but i get ur idea. so you dont have to mix the concentrate with a glycol solution to make it smokable from this device? do you have to have special cartridges full of your smokable solution or something?

Yeah I know I took some on a flight to Cancun.. lol I was scared but all they did was put me through the thing that blows air up your body I guess it's a metal sniffer. The trick is to dress down dress down as much as possible. Wear a t-shirt , basketball shorts and no shoes just flip flops Air Port security doesnt have to guess when someone is wearing little clothing. From now on its vape pens!

You can always refuse the body scanner in lieu of a pat down and there are areas they aren't allowed to pat, not many anymore but some none the less, were small amounts of stuff can be carried. That is why I will only be bringing a pinky nail size worth of material.

Nope you don't need to mix your concentrate with anything at all. It's very convenient, you take your cartridge, put the funnel on it, put you concentrate in funnel, heat and watch it melt down into the cartridge. Just make sure not to heat too much. Once filled you are good to go!

the only place i know that sells them is azcu by union and the 101 and they also sell the packets for them its basically just replaced the nicotine cartridge with thc mixture of somesort 125 for the pen and 25 for the cartridges

and to use regular ones u just have to find a place that has one with a 3or 6watt burner or something i talked to the guy at the mall about it I'd just get a realhandheld vape e

their bud is a toss up tho i dont use them anymore they have potentish shit but it dont burn clean and its drier than i like it and sometimes seedy

Those are rip offs though, you will burn through what they call an "eighth" of oil in days, while if u use a pen you fill yourself, itl last weeks if not a month. Trust me, the omicron is about 150, but you will never go back. Little Amsterdam, nices pieces, especially in the west valley.

Thanks for that info dude.. I travel international about 1 time every year and I would like to take something to smoke.

I have two of the atmos units and they rock. It gets hot enough to cause combustion. I also use concentrates in it and it works well. I take it with me to the bar and no one can tell. Not my favorite method but they work.
