I'm not sure the method to your madness, are you going of the grow video where arjan says to dry the plants out? I would say res change back to full strangth nutes don't you think? Maybe flush plain ph'ed water for a couple hours to wash out the florakleen, then back up. Im just guessing here but that the best part about hydro is its so easy to make changes. Good luck

this was my 3rd flush/rez change in the last 3 weeks.. (1 a week) and this time around, i was wathcing the movie "Belly" and my buddy came up with the great idea to smoke a fatty each time they lit up in the movie.. plan was to start flush at beginning of movie and rez change at end..
That part never happened and i woke up 7 hours later.. jumped up and drained the rez that had the florakleen...
i then gave her her nutes and she hasn't come back yet.. should i drain the current nutes .. flush plain water then new lower strength rez tonight if she doesn't come back?...

Flush once or twice over a few hours then start bringing up the PPM slowly. I would go with 1/3 strength nutes for a few days then back to full strength til you are done.

Another thing you might be looking at is the effects of reverse osmosis. When the plants salt levels are higher then the medium or solution they are growing in ,instead of water and nutes going into the plant,water and salts are pulled from the plant. If this is happening, I would start feeding then as you where before the flush and things should balance themselves back out in a day or so.

I have had drainage to the rez issues... Which caused me to reduce feeding times.. but she's not draining as fast as she used to... Crap how would I fix drowning... And prevent..?

So is this system DWC or conventional flood and drain? I'm confused. If its flood and drain and you reduced flood times put the times back to the way they where.

Not quite sure, but I think we're dealing with a flood and drain here from the sound of it. He mentioned something about his drain being slow, so he cut down the floods... hence, drowning roots, just like you said. From what I understand, in flood and drain systmes, the roots get much of their O2 from the pulling action of the drain, no?

I'm running a water farm so its a drip system.. the top portion is a container with drainage holes at the bottom and its filled with hydroton. .. underneath there is a rez with 2 gallons.. an air pump, pumps into the bottom which pushes water up to the drip ring..
I was keeping the pump running 24 hours and i recently reduced to 12/12.. because it looked like it wasn't draining.. she seemed to be doing ok.. but it did look like she was begging to have deficiencies.. so then came the flush....
Last night i just decided to put her back to the 24/7 pump .. hopefully it will bring her back..
one thing i did notice .... her ph shot up .. it went in at 5.5... and u

This is true. what ever the grow medium is (RW or Coir) the draining pulls o2 into the medium for metabolic purposes
