New room just finishing putting up my black/white. It is 10x9x7 I believe that's 630 cubic ft. I have an air conditioner built into the wall and one 8" vortex (747cfm i think)for my intake n was thinking something like 630cfm for my out take. What would you do with this space ??? And I have $ to Play with so that's not an issue.

I would do my research then realize having an intake fan is a waste by discovering what "negative pressure" is. Then I would realize a room that size needs a centrifugal fan and buy one instead of an inline fan.

My advice: dont go to you hydro store ranting that your a noob with a pocket full of cash to throw around. You will make the owner a happy man and walk out thinking you got the deal of the century.

I have a few animals in my home where I grow and was told that having an intake fan slightly stronger then my outtake fan that it would help keep bugs out, and why a centrifugal fan rather then an inline?

Lol negative pressure is OK for a smaller grow using passive intake but when you get up into larger cfm fans in spaces a intake fan IMO is a must my 4x8 tent with a 740 cfm exhaust fan would fold my tent up like a tin can without a intake fan of equal pressure. Now that I have built a 4x8 room out of wood without my intake fan it draws down my exhaust fan considerably causing a seriouse load on my fan that would eventually burn it up. I pull so much out of one room between veg/flower the door sucks shut on its own lol I don't know how having a intake fan would be bad advice for anyone to get.

Anyway your intake sounds just fine the only way it is going to keep pests away is if you have a carbon filter for the intake and exhaust, if so your golden, no need for a larger intake buy 2 of the same fans so basically there is as much coming in as going out (both scrubbing air through carbon filters). I had a nice 10x10x7 room I built that was running 20 plants under 3200w and it did pretty good that way.

here is a couple shots of my built 10x10 the pic with plants was before i added 2 more so that was only 18 but shortly added the 2 more, and yes that is a intake fan feeding the room lol.

Nice thank you for the info! Do you think I can do 25 plants in my space? That's what my license max is.

umm well what exactly is your setup going to be? my advice is x4 1000w lights in there and i would do 24 (6 per 1kw light) i run a 4x8 with x2 1k's and 12 ladies works great getting great numbers without co2.

Wow that truly looks amazing! Is that box a homemade carbon filter ?

I'm doing dirt , my rooms construction is one outtake fan from done. I have 6 young mothers on the rise and I'm just open to seggestions. I was thinking the 4 1000 w air cooled ballast , I have 2 old carbon filters. I just have to fill them with new carbon. So far for lunch I have been giving the girls DNF organic grow n a bit out barricade for ph up n thats it basically. Oh I have and air conditioner built in the wall it's petty sweet. Also a dehumidifier if need for flower time.

man sounds like you have a good portion of this done the ac will prove to be a great asset in a x4kw grow. like i said 24 in that space is a nice fit 6 per 1k is great. i grow hydro always have so i cant help you at all with nutes and such in that section but the rooms are all the same. sounds like it will be a nice grow!

didn't read all of the posts, but i read the op..

what would i do?? i'd break that room down into smaller areas.. say one for veg, one for flower and one for clones.. that way you could run perpetual and be in the green 24/7 once you got rolling...

yah, i guess technically you could just use two rooms, you're right d, but i know some people have a separate room for veg and clones.. maybe they like 24 hours of light for clones and only 18 for veg, or something along those lines.. :D

I was thinking of doing this, I'm a bit worried about ventslation and light leaking from room to room through the ducts. That being said I'll need to keep a mother for my next grow(dame blanch) so I'll have to figure something out.

you could use some of that panda film stuff m8.. it's black on one side and white on the other..
it's pretty light proof as well.. what a lot of people do is just make walls out of the panda and say a few 2x4's or w/e they have for support

it would take a bit of work, but imo, it's the better setup over just having one large room like what you originally are working with..

Yea I hear ya, I have over a 100ft of the black n white n some 2x4's but what about running some ventilation through a duct into the mother room from the flowering room. Now what about the light coming from room to room through the duct?
