Hi, so far im consistently hearing that AN is the best nutes for growing. But im having difficulty choosing products within this one company. I would like to go for their organic line but they have like 10 different bottles they want you to use. Which ones are the essential base nutes i dont want to cheap out for 100 since this is my first grow and success is critical for me but i dont need super high 10 lb yields either. My first post plz for the love of god dont tell me to use the search :f

the more you 'cheap' out on feed the better you will probably do, dont fall for the hype, keep it simple and keep em green.

whatever you buy, never put in what it says on the bottle to start with, start at say 1/4 strength and slowly raise it as they grow :) Good Luck dude!

Hi notEZ. AN currently have organic base nutrients, only additives. Their base nutrients are Sensi Grow and Sensi Bloom, Connoiseur and Jungle Juice 3 part. They have organic additives you can choose from on top of the base noots.

If budget is a thing don't even fuck with AN. I feel like they leave shit out of their nutes so you have to buy all the additive bullshit but I dunno. I'm too not giving a fuck to start searching around for a source, but pretty sure I've heard they don't include but like 10-12 micro nutes in their base whereas other brands like dyna-gro include all 16(?) and are actually reasonably priced and widely used in the agriculture industry. I just feel like AN was made to appeal to pot pharmers claiming their shit is formulated specifically for cannabis... and squeeze out your dollar bills with fancy phrases like heavier resin production and tastier buds. Have to put some badass artwork on the bottle too. I'd rather have a white bottle that says NUTES in black letters than pay for artwork printed on the bottle.

That said, if I were to go with AN I would start with Sensi Grow A/B and go from there. I'd pick up something for the roots (currently using Aquashield), but AN has voodoo juice which some people claim is amazing. They also make a base nute line called ph perfect which might be pretty bitchin, but I don't know much about it.

All you need are the base nutes. You don't need all the extra stuff. Any two or three part hydroponic fertilizer will work regardless of brand. All hydroponic fertilizers are made from the same group of source fertilizers. The plant doesn't give a shit what the brand name is.

Man you wanna grow some good stuff all you need starting out is the AN sensi AB, Big bud, and bud candy......and try to get Overdrive if you can it helps but those three are essential. You dont need every product from AN to grow dank trust me. and like above poster said if your not going to cheap out get the Voodoo juice too. I have not tried it but I do use Roots Exceleratur which I believe is basically the same thing and that stuff is AMAZING.

Wow lots of great feedback and responses this is an awesome site and im sure lots of new growers get confused in all this bullshit nutrient marketing. But there's lots of different perspectives from you guys, some say keep it simple and stick to base nutes but some say the additives can be effective enhancements too.

Also sensi A/B is the chemical one but what about their organic iguana juice grow/bloom if they arent any different sensi is half the cost and i can just do a two week flush which they even have a product to use as flush but im thinking just water

So lets see i got sensi A/B, voodoo juice, big bud, bud candy, and overdrive. Thnks for the suggestions ganjaman but is this mixing too many? And ill be sure to keep my concentrations down and keep it on par with the plants growth

Or you could same $15 and grow plants the right way...
Hey HP,
I've seen your posts and you seem to know what works well for you. What do you mean by this? Just curious...I'm on my first hydro grow and have two water-only seedlings who are now 2 weeks old and I was going to start them on AN Micro, at 1/4 the recommended dose. I'm just learning about all this stuff. I have a "less is best" approach to everything...so are you saying flushing with plain water is the best way to go? Or do you dislike the mentioned product and use something else?

Again, just curious.

Best,
KG

Thanks for the link. One of the reasons I'm growing my own is to control what goes into the plant...and therefore what goes into my body. If "flushing" doesn't actually produce a cleaner product, there's no value in flushing for me. Whatever I grow will taste just fine, I'm sure. :)

Thanks again!
Although i absolutely believe what i posted in that thread, i advise you to experiment for yourself. Grow half of your plants and flush before harvest like you always have or planned to do and then don't flush the other half. Then you'll be able to draw your own conclusion without just taking someone's advice. Just remember to feed the plant what it actually needs, which is reduced in the final stages of maturity. Experience is the best teacher, best of luck to all of your future grows!

Don't listen to these people telling you to buy additives. Do you think ANY farmer uses any of that shit? And farmers are worried about quality/yield, too. If this is one of your first grows, do yourself a favor, and don't buy more than 3 bottles. Botanicare Pure blend pro has a grow and a bloom. Two bottles that can get you all the way through the cycle.

Once you manage to get a successful grow or two under your belt, add in a PK booster for flower. Don't get caught up with all the additives, the first couple of responses were dead on.

Isn't Iguana juice their base organic nutes?
