What's your cover when out at the plot?

Considering a guerilla plot but all the areas I can find I can't think of a decent excuse for being around... Heard of folks using birdwatching and gathering samples for a biology project but I want to find some new ones see if I can find decent excuse if stumbled upon wondering to or from the plot.

Does anyone disguise themselves with a bandanna or a beekeepers mask? or would that attract more suspicion?

I go out and slap a survey sticker on my white SUV. Raido antennas, and CB's. Make people see it, and under stand I am doing some thing that they think they need.
I dont grow off my land, however I do other things in the middle of no where..............

let me ask you .. them Ppl. you meet in the woods or where ever you grow .. what do they do in there in the fist place ?

do the same ..

as HTP say (and I totally understand and agree) don't hide .. look like everybody els and nobody will notice you .. if you have a mask on (LMAO) of what ever you WILL get notice ..

my choise would be mountanbikeing .. if it is in the woods and suited for it ..

get all the gear on and a nice backpack/rygsack with the tools and stuff you need for your plants and make the trip trough the woods even faster .. looking like your just enjoying the ride and nature ..

Rather think of some thing thats not to sit down for hours?

I have not gone out like this in a while. No need but really .. lmao! birds ;)

yea agree ..

Ppl. (I would) might wonder if your looking at birds .. with out being a +65yo man with a huge beard .. gray hair .. hiking boots and a oilskin jacket ..

I much rather spend the money on a bike and gear (have the bike and schoes already I would only need a helmet and gloves aso to look "professional")

atlest .. don't go there ..Etc. 5 stoned friends in Bob marley t-shirts .. smoking on the way .. lay low ..blend in .. be smart ..


p.s.
the bike is also nice to have if you need to make a quick getaway ..

i go fishing bitches. travel to my spots via kayak. actually fish on the way. no body ever suspects a thing plus no trails to lead people to your plants. its the perfect crime

Been seriously considering taking up kayaking I have seen so many great plots off cliffs when I do the old summer inflatable raft gig. Thanks for the tip!

Oh and on a second note I once enjoyed mountain biking but due to bad posture I f'ed up my knee's have to use a brace/compress dealie when riding for prolonged periods. But this may give me the motivation to get back into it! Thanks brother been depressed a lot lately some good ol' fashioned exercise and fresh air would do me good even if I can't find any plots near a good bike trail I will at least get the old blood flowing and help natural production of serotonin.

yea and also a easy and quick way to look around in search for a good grow spot .. and I would also try to find it a little away for the trail .. so once your deep in .. park the bike and continue on foot ..

the kayaking is a great idea to tho .. just remember to find a spot where you can't see it from the water easily .. others might enjoy kayaking swell ..

That has come to mind but it is hard to see through some of the brush on the cliff faces I am thinking of. I'll have to look at it from all angles if I go for one of those locations thanks for reminding me.

tie em down once they get so high they are visible from the water .. make em look like anything but a weed plant .. make em in to small bushes .. keen em up high .. maybe in a spot you can't get to from the shore .. that would be kind a perfect :)

what he's saying is giving them a reason being in the woods causes suspision. if u run into some1 be friendly, and dnt be nervous, keep urself calm, remember ur the only one who knows youve been tending to ur illegal plants. "hows it going", comment on the weather or some recent event, just dont look like ur doing something suspicious. of course if they ask u want some cover, but bird watching, imo, isnt the best

Buy a cheap light metal detector off of Craigslist or Ebay, strap it to your back and head for the hills :)
The metal detecting excuse will also explain why you might be carrying a shovel and a bag or something.
