Few buds turning brown. What does this mean?

it tends to happen later in flower when the buds are thick and swelling, easier for moisture to get trapped

I have never had such bud rot - this is my 7th or 8th grow.

if youve done 7-8 outdoor grows with no rot, u either live in an area with flawless conditions, or are the luckiest sum bitch to ever grow

I did rot a cola due to poor drying/curing once.

hot dry weather maybe? either way be happy u dnt gotta deal with it, it sucks losing ur buds youve put months of work into in the last stretch

I get incredible humidity here. But ... I grow sativas and sativa-doms and they tend to be less mold prone (during their life cycle, anyhow).

mold tends to happen late in the season. on many plants not just cannabis...turf grass exhibits mold. trees get powdery mildew. it's just something that's kinda normal you gotta watch out for. cut the rot out. harvest early if you have to. you can't spray anything it's too late.
