Well, that's a different fox hunt altogether! No. Those are pistils bro.
There actually is a female to compare it to, but that one started showing pistils way earlier. I don't know. These were from feminized seeds, so I was expecting a hermie at worst, but not a male.It is a tad early. In pic 4 it looks like it has the shape of a pollin sack judging from the actual pattern on the thing. Check for a short stem which would be a sign of male, although if you don't have a female to compare it with you wouldn't be able to judge accurately by looking for a stem because sometimes when the pistils are just coming out it looks like the pistils are actually the sack and the calyx looks like the stem.
Wow, that's just a week old and already it looks pretty clear to me that those are pollen sacks. The one that I posted in already 6 weeks old, and still I can't tell.View attachment 2313068 Here's another pic to compare with, it's about a week old but today I knew for sure. I should have taken another pic to show the progression..
Check where the new growth is on the female and you should catch some small preflowers to compare with the male. There actually is a female to compare it to, but that one started showing pistils way earlier. Crap. So you're ready to write that other one off as a male??? I thought that feminized seeds only yield true males something like1 out of every 1000 or so times.Check where the new growth is on the female and you should catch some small preflowers to compare with the male.
Not at all. Like i said it's too early and preflowers look too similar at this age without a microscope. I was just saying that you should do that so you can see how well you can guess but i have two plants going right now that are showing sex and their preflowers looked different on some nodes but both are female.Crap. Looks almost like male to me. I would move it away from your positive girls and give it another week or two at most if it doesn't start showing pistals kill it off. If you move it make sure not to shake it too much if it is male you don't want any pollen in your grow area unless you want seeds.Over a week later, and still not clear to me. Frustrating thing is that there is another one of the exact same strain, grown under exact same conditions, which showed obvious pistils 2 weeks ago. Anyway, these are the most recent. Can anybody detect anything??? (BTW, these are feminised cotton candy by delicious seeds)
