Spiders

Wassup ppl my plant has been flowering for about 2 or 3 weeks ans its looking lovely but i went out an i seen a spider on it about the size a BB for a bb gun. Ive seen it twice and i killed it both times. Im just wondering if its a spider mite or another type of spider its reddish black color.if anyone has any information i would really appreciate it.

Dude, you have a serious problem!!! Lock your doors and seal up the house !!! If you had to kill it twice you are screwed, sounds like a zombie spider invasion... To kill a zombie, any zombie you need to take it out by damaging / decapitating the head.


Seriously though, carnivorous insects are your friends. They eat the herbivorous insects that dine on your plant. I see spiders and ladybugs on my plant and am happy they stop in. A mite is smaller than a BB so I wouldn't worry.

Agreed I was under the impression there almost microscopic.. Smaller then a BB for sure.

But one of em was making a web in one of my buds an idnt think thts a good thing shood i neem oil my plant or something

Regular spiders are a good problem.

Actual spiders are great, if you have them, since they'll eat pest insects. Don't worry about that.

But by the description, I'm actually a bit concerned about spider mites.

Spider mites are frequently red, and they can make "web" like material (that's why they are called SPIDER mites).

But they shouldn't be as large as BBs (which are roughly 4.3mm in diameter, or 0.172 inches), and they shouldn't spin actual "spider" webs.

If you have spider mites, they'll typically live on the UNDERSIDE of your leaves, and you can see them more easily with a hand lens or loupe. They'll also suck the juices out of your leaves, leaving lots of little white or yellow spots on the leaves. If you can see either of these things, you've got to deal with the mites asap, because the infestation can severely injure your plant, spread to other plants, and even durably contaminate your grow area, infecting future grows.

Spider mites suck. I have been fighting them for over a year and still can't get rid of them.
