Met a few folks from RIU last night

Yeah it was for prospective dispensary agents and other peeps trying to get into the "industry." The food was pretty good. The speakers were kind of informative if you don't like to research stuff urself. There were dispensary consultants there from Colo and Cali. I got the impression that mixt of those people did not have a clue. I got into a good conversation with the woman who was the lawyer who wrote prop 203 for mpp and helped get it passed. I got into a discussion about the 25 mile rule. So what I was able to confirm which I had always suspected was this:

The marijuana policy project decided all by themselves to put in the 25 mile rule. The reason which they give and this reason is bullshit( I'll explain.) Is that they did not think that the provision would have enough public support without it. This is a complete fallacy. This is a bullshit reason because there is absolutely no evidence to substantiate this concern. No public polling was done on this issue to gauge any form of public opinion. In addition this was not even mentioned by the opposition. To give a reason stating that the public would only support a prop with a 25 mile clause, for that fear to be validated, there must be some form of evidence. I also asked her to show me a case where this issue made any effect in the passing of a mmj law in any mmj state and of course there is none. So that's the confirmation that the 25 mile clause was solely injected to setup a socialized monopoly of marijuana production and thus causing and undue financial burden upon patients.

The other thing I discussed with her is how to go about proposing a voter initiative and guaging whether it would gain public support or not. When I asked her if an anti25 mile prop would gain support she said she did not know but seemed positive to the idea. I will discuss more later if anyone is interested. Gotta run.

I went to see a few people. Before i met with a couple of people from RIu who messaged me and we chatted and got along well.

After that I was just there to basically see some of my partners who were wandering around looking for talented people that are good with people. My attorney spoke a bit. Ultimately it was not the greatest but not bad either. Met a few Dispensary owners who didn't have a clue what they were doing so we are going to help them out in finding good growers and GM's and might coop our grows since we all have locations.

Its all good. I'm excited to be in the industry. Meeting good people and helping each other out.

Those trailers outside were $32k btw. LOL
 
What happens if the dispensaries keep getting put on hold ? Whats everyones take on when the dispensaries are gonna take off?

Looked like it cost about 7500 to put it together.

I didn't see you, I wish I would have known there were others from here, there.
 
Most with chaas in maricopa will not open til after the white mountain case has gone up for appeal. One interesting fact is that they all have 12 since their lottery win to open or they can forget about it. Most in the valley don't plan to.cultivate. I did not meet anyone who is a serious cultivator most are just middle men trying to get rich off the growers. I think they are all infor a rude awakening.


Oh and that guy quoted me 26$ k on that trailer without lights and 28k with. Sounds like he tried to squeeze 4k from no where. Those things sucl for a few reasons and they are way marked up like 400%. There are two groups who will make money the growers and the businesses selling services to dispensaries.
