What's the point of this thread anyway? Obama has already said every option is on the table to keep Iran from gaining nuclear weapons.

i dont even get why theres a politics thread here.. were all stoners of course we hate the gov. lol
It's fascinating to see just which aspect of gov people will expressly hate. I don't hate government for its own sake. I have not been convinced that the dichotomy between Government and Me is absolute. It seems that many have ... which imo is awful for the health of our nation and its citizens. cn

If you didn't hear anything. You need to clean that wax out of your ears.
Since, both are idiots in your mind. May I suggest you run for the Presidency in 2016. I'm sure with your superior intelligence you can straighten everything out.

So, closed minded.

i just dont see how your impressed by politicians that are being surveyed on how they would handle a alien invasion... i just dont think the way our country sees these politicians is the truth.. im not closed minded your just too malleable... i dont fall for someone because they were in a movie sorry, and i only was able to watch the last 15 minutes of his speech and NO i heard no policy plan just him pointing out obamas mistakes, which is ok but its not making me want him as the person who runs our country, its just shows how dumb this country has become

Which ones might those be althor?
Well, lets start a list.

We know for sure Afghan, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya. Where else have we had troops fighting, places we have dropped bombs, or otherwise engaged in some type of warfare? Somalia I believe. Supposedly we are assisting and training the Syrian rebel troops.

Feel free to add to the certain list of Afghan, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya.

Add Yemen to the list of certain.

Hating government....

We have been convinced by those who use government to its own ends - big business and now the rightist propaganda machine that the only source of tyranny is government. This is very convenient as big business can hide behind the very institution it depends upon to appear blameless.

"well, the reason the price of our fuel is so high is..... government"
"well, the reason the price of fuel is so high is... government"
"we are your friends, we give you jobs and we give you choices, government does neither"

The question that should be asked of one's self every morning is -

What do I believe that big business would like me to believe"

Ask that of the common conservative and you will find no sunlight between the two things.

And of course - as you have seen me post - the notion that government cannot work is self sustaining. So long as we continue to believe government can't work, it won't.

When we recognize it as just one more tool we can begin to have it work for us rather than the other way around but so long as government is seen as alternatly a harsh and efficient master of our destiny and an inept thief of our liberty, it will be nothing but a weight around all of our necks.

I don't know althor, maybe you have a point - we are as imperialistic as we have always been - I suppose we like to couch all of that as humanitarian enterprises.
