I have seen that autoflower stains will flower under t5 .. I'm new to growing and purchased 4 DWC 5 gallon buckets, and a oracle garden t5 (4 x 8 ) 8). I wasn't planning on using it for autoflower plants, but if I'm able to veg real stains and have these flowing next to it why not.. Has anyone used these lights before? Is 5 gallon buckets to big? I see most people are using 3 gal.

I think a 5 gal is too big for an autoflower. They tent to be really small. If you want to grow real bud just stick to photoperiod and get a light timer.

I'm thinking about the Dutch passion automazar, I no they can get big pending on how there grown. What strains do you suggest and have grown so far?

I've been using T5's for some time now and have good success with them, they are well worth it, I prefer them over cfl's.

You can grow some large auto's in a 5gal bucket. T-5 are a lot better over CLF's in my opinion. You can get some decent results using CFL'S but the light they put out and cover is small vs a bunch of t-5's. I would look at a 250 hps if you had the money and didnt already buy the t-5. You can get a nice one that's compact for about 189 bucks. HPS will also run a MH also. You wont need a special bulb or ballist. You just cant run a MH ballist with a HPS. I've run CFL, T-5, and the HPS. I will say hands down a HPS/MH is the way to go. More lumes and it's cheaper in the long run.

i allready purchased the t5, my origin intent for the t5 was mothers, and clones with a couple teens. just until i sold enough clones to get a flower set up going (legal prop 203 patient). i just started looking into autoflowers and started realising they can flower right next to my mothers. have you personally grew auto? im going into my first grow so im looking for tips/suggestions.

I've grown Autos, in fact I'm growing some right now! You can keep the lights on 24/0, 20/4, or 18/6,. I like to keep them on 24/0 for the first couple of days after the plant and poped out of the ground. Then I'll go 18/6, they will grow in 24 hours of light but I still think the plant needs a rest time in my opinion. There great for starters or if you want some bud in a short amount of time. They dont pump out large oz's like the photo's do but you can get close too or just over a "oz" most of the time with one. Other then that just grow them like any other photo period. They also tend not to need much if any nutes since there only growing in a short period of time and if grown in a good soil.

is the bud just as good?? and have you grown them hydroponically?
I grow in soil. The bud it good, some will say the photo period bud is better then auto. If you where to put an auto and a photo bud side by side with other people that dont know which is which they wont be able to tell the diff. Most of the people I talk to they just like to smoke. So if its good bud they dont mind what it is.
