He didn't actually, the Government built the roads the trucks that delivered that paint to the store used. Also likely the Duke used roads or public transport to get to the store.

I only painted the stuff that was high enough to break a leg if you fell 30 feet
95% done and the garage is the ugliest combination of colors we could come up with short of international orange and black. just a message to the neighbors

Yes, thank you unions for extolling the virtues of being overpaid and corrupt. Thank you unions for making seniority more valuable than skill or talent. Thank you unions for protecting those lazy and inept buddies of yours. Thank you unions for shaming workers into NOT doing their best because in doing so, makes others look bad. Thank you unions for telling the rank and file who to vote for and for giving their dues to your candidates. Thank you unions for bankrupting the auto industry and the airline industry.
