whats the ideal light time?

ive looked everywere (well almost)and cant find the best time to keep an auto flowering Lowryder#2 under,it seems ppl have different times,some say 18 hrs a day,some say 12 a day,some say it doesnt matter.
which is the ideal time?? im gona wait til i get the answer before i crack open the seeds,
if anyone has had experience growing Lowryder#2 or similar plants i would love to pick there brains on the subject. :-o

Well i give them 4 hour dark every day and get clone roots through 4" rockwool within a week from cutting from mother plant so ill would stick to 20/4 for sure.

some people say that its more efficeint to run them 20/4 or even 18/6 but the fact of the matter is that if they don't flower under 24 hours of light then it's not fully auto. best of luck
