Hey I'm kind of worried that you took my comment seriously. There's no standardization in cannabis strains & varieties. Even in other industries where there ARE established cultivars, growers have often times mistakes their own variety for something else. For example, there was a vineyard that used to have lots of notoriety for the cabernet it was producing. It was considered so special because it was nothing like the other cabernets in the area. Well they eventually tested the leaves for genetics and it turned out to be some strange zin or syrah clone..
I guess what I'm trying to say is, there's really no way you're going to determine the genetics/strain of plant by looking at it. Even the finished products wont be accurately identifiable, since it's affected by so many variables in the growing process..
So as far as names go, there's not much you can do. Just hope the plants got some good genes and you end up with some chronic in the end.
