I'm kinda surprised at everyone being so freely open with advice, techniques, information about their grows and even pictures. My question is with DEA agents, Narco's, Homeland security, FBI & even in some cases CIA, isn't it alittle BOLD to be giving this info online to someone who could be tracking all this activity ? I mean how do You know that the guy giving this info out or asking for info isn't someone as stated above ?

This scenario has been discussed, many times and within different formats/forums...and the consensus is that while it is plausible they're watching, the logistics and scale make it unlikely something will come of you posting something here or elsewhere.

like mojo says the sheer scale of it makes it difficult for the agencies to watch but i think also there not too interested, its mainly small scale guys in here doin it for themselves, no mexican cartels i would imagine. one our moderators got captured a few months ago, he had set adeal up to deliver a kilo or two, cant really remember the amount, but it involved crossing state lines so it was fedral rap im from the UK so im not too sure of all your laws) but he got fucked anyway. in general theres no hassle, ive been here for 3 years and if anyone went back thru my posts they could track me no problem. so far its not happened.

There are alot of other step's you can take to assure security.Check out the Tor browser, it switches your IP randomly and its just the top of the heap.Right now the million plus spooks are busy assembling info from facebook.That's the place they are most interested in at this moment.I believe this server is somewhere besides the US most likely the UK.

In the thread yesterday, as basically everybody here stated, or inferred, we are all here doing for ourselves, and therefore as I put it yesterday "small fish", and not really what they look for, nor worth the time and effort for what would be the end result.
But Hydro, yesterday somebody did mention that the server for this site is in the U.S..
OP., we are careful, you will never find somebody here, saying stupid things like 'hey so and so, come look at my forest I have at such and such address'.

Yeah those guy's aren't rocket scientist's they are going to get busted one way or another because of there stupidity.I like to think I'm secure.Found my screen name on google one day and realized I needed to tighten security.I stopped uploading pic's and the worm strike scattered what was here.Its the people who never break rule # 1 that will survive.

For people who live in non-medical states, it makes sense to know what the local law is regarding amounts and penalties. I know what my local law is, and I stay in the slap-on-the-wrist to misdemeanor range. That means growing one or two plants at a time and not really pushing for maximum yield, as that could bump me into a felony category.

good point really. you know even proxys are not really safe but i use them anyway. ones like anonymizer, their company actually has strong ties to the fbi. i follow state law, cops and even fbi seen my setup a couple years ago and did nothing because it was legal. i grow everything for personal use. i split it with patients and they chip in for bills. all the medical patients i have known for years and would never steal or narc. i never would get involved with someone until i got to know them real good.

the reason i dont worry is because there is no internet service at my grow. when i post on here i dont use my work internet, i leach off a neighbors internet so it would get traced to them instead. i also use a proxy even though i know they're not as safe as ppl think. they can still trace you, it's just an added layer of protection. the computer im on has all different info on it for names and such. got it used for cheap and left everything on it.
