Wondering a website that would be the best, or a store such as home-depot, etc. I've been to home-depot and could only find the 100w=23w* and am being told this won't be enough. Tips / suggestions?

Go to your local walmart and pick up a 55 watt bulb, they're around $10 each and do pretty well ;)

I found 300watt soft white cfl's @ the Home Depot for about $15.00/ea. I have 3 for a total of 900watts in a 3x3 tent, 2 small fans for air circulation, a DIY exhaust fan/carbon filter and Diy co2 system borrowed from an aquatic plant setup. So far it works fine for veg. cycle. Good luck. PK

He (probably) means 300 equivalent watts, likely about 85-100 actual.
If you've git a menard's near you they sell 43w for about 8.50 so 15 for 300 equiv isn't unreasonable. You just wont get as good of a spread for your light. Same goes for the 23w vs 43w scenario.

He's referring to these (Pic Above) 68W (300W equivalent) 2700k TCP CFL's, they used to be 14.98 but went up a few bucks everywhere for some reason, they are some pretty good CFL's for growing but the best IMHO are these: (Pic Below) 220W (4 x 55W PL-L's) Cheaper than T5's yet produce more lumens, seedlings, propagation/cuttings or supplemental side lighting are the best application for these, however if you completely surrounded your plants with these you could produce some decent bud, wouldn't yield like HID though, check em out:
(14th-15th from the top) (-->CLICK HERE<--) You can get bulbs (-->HERE<--) and on eBay.
