3-Week-Old Seedlings Looking Very Grim

Ok I'm three weeks into my first real grow and my plants are freaking out on me. I use a 50/50 mix of Fox Farms Ocean Forest and Happy Frog soils. I haven't given them any nutrients yet. I water with distilled water Ph treated as close to 5.8 as I can get. I have a 250w mh light that I run 18/6 that is about 16" above the plants. The temp in the tent pretty much stays at 75° and never goes above 80°. Anyone know what this could be?

You have root problems. 3 week plant should be a foot tall. Start over imo. Or try to salvage these and take healthy clones to root.

What kind of root problems? I have had these girls in 2 gallon pots from the start. Up until Friday they were looking good. A few people on my journal suggested the light was burning them. I would really hate to start over since these were the free seeds from attitude. Not trying to ruin the white widow with my noob ass. :?

Quit ph'ing your water and just try tap water left to sit out over night. If you're overwatering, get a smart pot and transplant to that. I'd also mix your soil with 50% perlite in the future. Problem solved!

Your plant is actually small enough that I would transplant it now into a fresh mix with perlite. I'm serious about using tap water with no ph change too. 5.8 specifically is for hydro anyways. I use fox farm soils with my tap water that's around 7-7.2ph. Check out my sig to see my plants. I've switched solely to smart pots too.

Tap water would certainly be cheaper. I'm guessing I could get perlite at Home Depot? I had to order the FFOF online because I have no hydro shops around here.

Tap water is fine. As said, let it sit out to evap some of the chlorine, and 5.8 is too low for the PH in soil.
Get it up close to 6.5 and let 'em grow.
See if you can get your light a little closer without getting too warm.
And yes, Depot Perlite is good as any.
Water only, no nutes for a while.

It's your soil is too hot for the seedlings you wanna start'em in light warrior or sunshine mix 4 is my favorite for the first two week and you should ph to 6.3 using advance nutes not ff's I'm using the 100% ffof but start in sunshine mix using advance nutes getting the best grow ever check it out in my journal:eyesmoke:

I was hoping to plant the germinated seed in the three gallon pot right away. Not so good with transplanting without ripping out the roots.

If you wanna grow in fox farm you have to transplant 3x is what I do. I start my in 18 oz cups then 1 gallon pots of sunshine mix4 and you feed a little nutes after a week then put in the 5 gallon pots of ffof and watch them take off~

Hint: one set of real leaves MH ok
2 sets of leaves they're ready for ffof not B 4

try using smaller pots , and only water when pot feels light , and dont feed just water till she gets a lil bigger, I suspect she is being over watered.

I used miracle gro with bagseed once and they thrived until I gave them away. I had no idea I would have to buy so many different soils here. At $20+ a bag its an expensive mistake. So would you guys say these two are beyond repair?

As for watering I suspected I was over watering which is why I waited longer before this last watering. Overall I'd say each plant got a half gallon a week before I showed it down.

Where did you get the seed its retarded and no amount of TLC will make the mongrel looking thing better.

It was free from attitude. I used the shittiest sounding seeds first. And these two strains had almost no feedback online so I'm glad I ruined them and not the ones I paid for.

I use MG POTTING MIX ONLY and i have had no problems with it nor have a read a a negative thread about it,FF on the other hand....it's like who's next lol
You don't have to destroy the plant tho just let em grow and start new ones. Also if the bucket is not light it don't need water, just put a finger in the soil about an inch deep to see if it's dry.My plants barely have water right now but tonight they will get it when lights come on.
