First grow...need some help

Hey guys so this is an update on my first grow and right now its day 55 12/12 on my first grow ever, and i got a pure kush and great white shark going.both strains say they take 8-10 weeks to finish flowering.

im growing in ffof soil and using ff nutes. 400w hps light.

heres the pics: in order from left to right #1 great white shark side/great white shark top/ pure kush side/pure kush top

sorry for the bad pics but its the best i could pretty much do with my droid camera lol. and sorry for the hps kinda shining on them, i had to do it in the same room as im growing in. if you cant tell by the pic the pure kush has a lot of orange hairs and the great white shark just starting getting some a few days ago.\

so im wondering if anyone can tell by the pictures on about how long untill i should harvest? any other suggestions would be great

thanks i guess for your input lol. but im looking for someone to answer my question at the bottom. how long till harvest if any1 can tell by pictures

You get a mag glass and look at the trichs. That lets you tell. Theres a thread in harvesting forum.

+1 on this advice... the trichomes (those crystal) looking things are first clear, then milky then amber... you gotta look at them they say if you harvest later, when they are more amber... you'll get more of a body stone indica-like... if you harvest earlier... milky colored... more of a head high.

alright thanks ill do that. do they look like i should i be looking at them now to tell if they are ready? or wait longer?

Kinda new also but looking at pics you are getting close. Mag glass is best way to get right timing but paying attention to the pistols. The little white hairs changing color is also a sign to start looking at ur trichomes. Does look a little burnt tho.

Can't tell from looking at pics. you really need to have your face right down there on them, ideally with magnification.

Not sure about that... Things to consider: what strain of weed are you growing? what sort of nutes are you using? did you stop feeding and flush with water at the recommended point(s) before harvest? (can't recall when these are... search the froums for "flush")

took a look at them today with a jewelers loop and couldnt really see a close up of the trichomes but id say if anything they were still clearish. they didnt seem cloudy or amber.
