Fuck Yeah

Obama needs to come out and support legalizing weed right before the election
and make it soon

it takes time for the Republicans to produce commercials accusing Obama of being soft on crime and wanting baby raping black drug dealers and users to burn down white america

So Hurry up Obama and throw your re-election in the toilet by backing legalized drugs

Sounds like you're a big fan of the drug war, eh? You sure you're on the right website? I think the Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity sites are somewhere else.

With 74% of Americans favoring the federal government leaving Medical MJ dispensaries alone... how is this even remotely a position that would cause an election to be "thrown in the toilet"... I see it as a surefire way for him to beat Mittens.

The reason he wont back legalization can be summed up in 2 words:

Willie Horton

Silly people. Why can't we call Russia a top threat? The Russians view us the same way and so do many other countries..

Let's have a Kumbaya moment. Yah, right.

A lot of dumb asses don't understand the real world outside the USA and many don't even understand the real world in the USA.

Trust me, If you haven't lived overseas. You don't know what the fuck you are talking about.

The world is full of HATE and that isn't going to change till the world is destroyed.
So your proposal is to destroy the world? Because it seems that's what Mitt's proposal is (assuming he wants to beef with Russia).

So can you reverse engineer it? Use it to our advantage. or I'm sounding too far right?

the left has tried, unsuccessfuly though - they are calling it dog whistle politics but that doesn't seem to be changing anything.

It was, bluntly - the big evil black man is among you because of this contender for president. I won't let the big black man get you if you make me president.
I tend to look for arguments other than unadorned racism. While I won't deny that the ads were crafted to prey ion just those race fears, the reason of record, and the only one that could be tested for merit, was the procedural one about policies of imprisonment.

But I still cannot make the connection between Willie Horton and cannabis law. The old "reefer madness" idea that it causes black men to rape white women might have had an audience in the '30s, but nowadays? I am tempted to say ... cn

I don't see the comparison either. Recall the welfare queen stereotype - another "we are paying for black lazy people" republican approach.

Iirc Reagan's notorious Welfare Queen was a fabrication. In any case, I'm hoping Ink will let us (me) know what he meant. cn

they've been hortonizing obama for some time now, if he came out strongly in favor of something dramatically pro-cannabis, the right would run with some sort of similar hortonization using weed as the new welfare cadillac or rejection letter being crumpled by a white fist or what have you.

that's what i understood, but i am admittedly uber-sensitive to these dog whistle and whisper tactics of the right. they're trying to start a whisper campaign about obama being gay now (with kelly4 leading the whisper charge here) because it worked so well for christine o'donnell over mike castle a couple years ago.

and just because it was a fabrication does not mean it wasn't effective. that seems to be the romney strategy.

"what i just said wasn't true? oh well, it worked anyway".

I agree that that is the creepy part. The Big Lie is a classic technique, and it owes its success to the intellectual complacency of the voting public. cn

what's really scary are the people who go out there and defend the lies knowing they're lies.

90% of republicans are white
a large percentage of them Christian
many will stay home
But give them enough reason
-gays
-drugs
- scary black men

They will come out and vote

And we all know what the republicans are doing with Voter ID laws
it doesnt take much to tip the balance this election
