Nightmare!! Any suggestions??

Yo everyone.

Had a call today off the landlord and he wants to view the property im renting. I was supposed to be switching the girls today which now obviously i cant...he is coming around next thursday so im gonna have to get everything out of there....plants aswell as all equipment such as 1.4m X 2m tent. Fans etc which is an absolute nightmare.

My girls are currently on a 7:30am - 1:30am 18/6 sched. I can take my girls to a diff location until they have been but have u any suggestions on how to transport and what in? They are around 20" tall from pot. Could i leave the girls underneath my bedroom light all night?? They will still respond to the light wont they? I dont want them to go to sleep so i dont stress them that much....they are coming around 6pm on thurs so taking it all out weds....what a fucking nightmare for what is gonna be a two minute look around!! Thanks alot for any help people

I am having the same issues. My landlord is selling the house I live in and we have had to show it twice now and a third tie later today. I have to move all 12 plants outside and hide them. What a pain in the fuckin ass it is.

Do u have a tent to take down though? Its gonna be a fucking nightmare. Took me ages to put up aswell as the fans etc. Urrrgh!!!!

DeeJay, Dont sweat it man its just part of the game when you rent and grow. I've had to move close to a hundred plants, a lot of them flowering and 5 foot tall. The way to do big plants like that is with contractor garbage bags from home depot. They are super deap and light enough that they won't weigh down on the plants too much. Tape them to the pots and woo lah. Obviously you don't have to worry about things like that. I would simply put the plants in a box and out of sight for now. Its not like your landlords going to instigate a search and if he does it's time for him to leave. They aren't gonna shock being out of the light for a short time, days yes, hours no. Tear the tent down, equipment in boxes, and everything grow related away. This is a good experience for you, now you will get better and faster at disasembling and reasembling your oppertation. Just be happy you don't have 20 hoods and ballasts to disconnect along with fans and ducting and everything else. Take this as a learning experience and make sure your I's are dotted and your t's are crossed and you'll be fine bro...

This is why people buy tents and grow boxes that look like closets and cabinets.I got a cabinet in my house that could house my plants and no one would notice.
2-3 years ago i was growing in a small box i just sat other boxes on and around it to blend in and put my plants i my garbage can(40gal) and put the lid on 3 plants under 3 feet
i didn't really care if they were in the dark for the 15-20 min inspection as long as it wasn't an hour or more.Btw if i had a tent it would look as much like a extra clothes closet or i would have at least made it look like one.

Rent a moving van for a day to move them. Any light on the right timer can keep their cycle ok, but I wouldnt do it more than a day or 2.

If your legal they had no right to enter the grow rooms selling it or renting tell your landlord to fuck off.

Westcoast! Thanks for the reply brotha...i will have to move them to a diff location because i can imagine them going into every room and checking? Ive never had one done before so i dont know what to expect you see. They say an inspection is between every 3-5 months so its gonna be a bitch keeping on doing it over and over. I havnt even got anything for the home yet so i need to get all that to! Stressfull times bro!

Im taking the tent down on weds after work so the girls are gonna be somewhere else so im just gonna keep them under a normal house light on the ceiling until thursday afternoon once they have been. Hope i dont stress them to much

No need for a moving van, you can fit your plants in a U-Haul box or similar larger ox just fine. Don't worry bout shocking them, its not gonna happen unless you really try hard at it. The inspection is probably just a typical bi-annual landlord inspectione. He's not trying to bust you or find your stash, he's simply making sure you haven't put holes in his wall and that the appliances are still there and in working condition. Know what I mean? He's not gonna go thru your closests or into your private spaces, just probably glance in a room or two and spend 5 minutes looking at walls, carpets, appliances, and ask if you have any issues. Obviously you have NO issues and everything is smooth sailing. Landlord leaves and you can move everyything back in, flower them bitches out and maybe look into a different place down the road if growing is really what you want to do. I've grown in closets, and then into a spare room in a house, then to a whole house set up to grow and now to a remote location thats going to be set up like a warehouse grow just on a smaller scale. I could never go back to growing in a closet or a spare room in a home, specially with a family present now a days. I love that my grow is seperate from my space... Just my .02 again no worries, smoke a bowl and enjoy your girls in veg form before all that green turns to clusters!

Better safe than sorry, you have to remind yourself, their just plants...you can grow more! Take the time to clean all evidence and you will be fine! My buddy has two 5 footers and he doesnt even have a light right now...he just uses sunlight. They will be fine, just worry about getting all your grow stuff out of house...dont want to tip him off if he see's a light timer laying around. Good luck bro, your not alone, i have done many times! Cheers!

Damn, that blows. That's one of the pluses (sp?) of a tent though, all though they're a huge pain in the ass to move, it is possible.

I moved a few plants before and did like dude before said, use a trash bag over the top. Worked well enough.

I guess you can just use this as an opportunity to get the hang of it (taking it down and moving it), probably won't be your last time.

Haha you know i worry to much man! :) fuck it...gonna get my head together and sort this shit out. Just a bit fucking paranoid about the 200ml hole thats on the wall for the extraction shiiiiyat! Gonna put a picture up there or something! Or poster etc. Hopefullu everything will go smoothly. 1 love RIU!!

Hell yes. You beat me to it. Brace everything and move it nowhere. Keep it where you have control over it while you raise the back door some for air flow. It's just a day. We hope. Watch the bastard at the last minute "I can't make it today. It will probably be in a few days and I'll let you know".

Boxes in the house? Uh uh. You have no control over them then.

I don't know how many you have, but if they are only 20" tall, you could go to like WalMart, Kroger, or bakeries like that, and ask them for some if they have any empty buckets from the cake frosting, that would protect the plants at least for the move, and they will usually give them free.
I got no suggestions where to put them, but I would suggest doing your move a day earlier, so you don't run into an unexpected hang up and be up till 4 in the morning to finish.
Also doing it the day earlier, would give you time to open some windows and make sure the place is aired out well.
