How do you get just the tops to grow? I always seem to have this pesky middle and lower part of the plant. Darn I wish I were as cool as you and could grow just tops.

That's like Elaine's muffin top idea. You have to bake the whole muffin and pull the top off dumbfuck. You can't just bake the muffin top, it won't taste good.

Its a decent choice for an outdoor grow here in Ontario though.

I've read this entire thread, and I dont disagree 4lbs/light is possible (using 2 rooms) but are you telling me your moving your light every 12 hours?

Born and raised in Hamilton. Ontario has wicked climate..all strains thrive there..except long flowering sativas

i think its possible because really he is running 2 1k lights from the same ballast which is the same as 2k since they are running at separate times.

i dont use cal mag. i did a tiny bit this one.. only cause i was using full RO. but even then i add a real light amount. curious as to why you think cal mag is important? dont most 2 parts have a few % calcium in them now a days?

i like to learn, im not hating.

This is actually really interesting and im going to look into this...from one ballast you can run two lights at separate times and save yourself some money, also while preventing blips in your electricity bill from turning your lights on and off at the same time everyday.(blips isnt the right word, but more of preventing a pattern that could be noticed)

Could you imagine setting up two vertical rooms like this? Same plant density. You would get probably 4 lbs per room. So 8 lbs total. 4 lbs a month . It would require 800 tiny pants to accomplish this.. see now im talking stupid though... hmm what about using LED lights on vertically stacked shelves ??
