Only 8 23w cfls( didnt have as many plants yet) 21 23w cfls!
On my first indoor grow, So I just got my socket spitters I order online, and I added them to 8 cfl sockets I had I my lil veg closet. I had only 8 6500k 23w clfs, but now I have a total of 21 23w cfl's. 8 6500k's and 16 23w 2700k clf's! I would of split the amount of 6500k and 2700k bulbs but I only have 8 6500k's, and the 2700k's I had lots since I found them at the dollar store two for a dollar! I was wondering if this might be a lil overkill.
I have 11 plants inside this 2 foot by 5 foot closet. two of the girls are in 5 gallon fabric pots, another two are in 3 gall fab pots, one is in a one gal fab pot, and the rest in small 4"x4" plastic pots. I live about 20 miles inland from the central coast so temps get pretty hot. my closet averages about 77 to 88 degrees during the day, and about 70 to 75 at night. I know that adding bulbs, no matter what kind will increase heat, but will it be significant in cfls? Will it be too much light or to bright for the plants? Also, I have heard that 6500k day light is better for vegging, and 2700k better for flowering, will this have a negative impact on the veggitative growth if I have almost twice as much 2700k as 6500k?
Please help out with opinions, comments, or any feedback as it is greatly appreciated. Thanks RIP!
