Help needed for a total noob!!!

Hi everyone :0)

Im going to be getting 2 seedlings in the next 2 weeks, I have been told that they will most likely be a strain of blueberry. Im sorry I don't have much info but I'm going through a third party and the info stream is sloooow lol. I'm unsure weather these are seeds started for me or cuttings from a female plant. I will update you with info as I get it.

Im in the uk and plan to grow them indoors and if possible without equipment (I do have a south facing room thy has decent sunshine and a dark tall cupboard in that same room) it's coming to winter in the uk soon so sunlight will be slightly limited.

Ok so question time:

1) can I grow this in a relatively warm house without equipment? (I do have a totally dark cupboard for the night phase)

2) what yield do you think I can achieve and how often?

3) IF they are cuttings, does this mean I have a guaranteed female plant?

What will I need to do in the next 2 weeks to prepare for my new babies coming?
Please be aware that this is my 1st try at this and will need total explanation here

As far as I can work out I will need good soil, pots, nutrients, water and a fan(don't quite understand this but all posts say I need one)

Thanks in advance for any help given :0)

you need to build a grow room and buy lights timers fans exhaust then get soil nutes pots and yes water... do it right. winter with no equipment means your going to be flowering with no veg little light and not get much at all do it right

Ok so natural grow is not an option, ill research some kits I have seen.

Given that I will now be using lights and with the limited info on the actual plant

What can I hope to achieve yield wise and how often can I expect to be harvesting?

ya what i would do is make yourself a little growbox er sumthin, get your hands on some CFL's max wattage and 5500k and up until flowering.

cfl's are the most realistic for lights, soil is easy, or a small dro kit would be easy to make.

not much in the way of yeild, it will depend on your lights. even with a lot of cfl's dont expect a TON of bud.

but it will grow, i have some cfl stuff in my early journal posts. and there are a ton of cfl threads around the site.

good luck bro and make sure you have your shit straight before she comes in.

if you want more info on how to make yourself a good box more in depth, msg me and i can shoot u an email. i have a grow box tutorial if u want it with cfls.

i would need to email it tho, if not u can find the info scattered around.

peace good luck and welcome. :)

Ah guys your awesome, honestly didn't expect much help.

Have now decided to use my out house, it's brick built and double glazed. I'm going to make me a tent from a tutorial I have found on here.

Some of the light kits I have found: http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/categories/Grow-Lights/CFL-Grow-Lights-&-CFL-Accessories/High-Output-CFL-Grow-Light-Systems/

I am looking aT the 250w setups but they seem to mention green, red and blue lamps, can someone explain this for me?

Again thanks in advance for any advice it is much appreciated :0)

A lot of people are saying I will need exhaust vents. Is this simply a safety thing? Or will the plants require this?

I ask because my housemates are well aware of what I'm planning and our house is well isolated away from anyone so the chance of anyone stumbling across the smell is virtually zero.

they need freshair all the time so when you exhaust out the top it will pull fresh air in through the bottom. it is not for smell the plants need fresh air just like you unless you run a co2 enriched environment. it also exchanges the hot air for cool air to help keep temperatures under control

ahhh a brick shit house... ok green= whatever red spectrum is for flowering blue is for vegatative growth. what is the dimensions of this brick shit house??? a 250w hps really only good for a 1x1 maybe 2x2 area. now that you have a space if you give the dimensions it is easy to figure out what you need so give it up
