LR #2 getting pretty tall...

Hello,

I purchased these feminized seeds from the attitude seed-bank, got here safe and sound...sprouted this one and it stayed very short in the solo cup I had it in for about two weeks, now that it is around 24 days old, it seems to be stretching pretty tall for my PC case...it's got a good 5-6 more inches in vertical height that it can go before it hits my plexi-glass. Should I be doing LST with this strain since it is auto flowering? Also, around day 16 I saw white hairs, then I switched all the CFLS to 2700k, and keeping the light schedule on 18/6 the whole way through. Sorry for the pics...I had just misted them with some water, i'll try to get some pics of it dry later on in the day. Also, she is in a 2 gallon smart pot with fox farm ocean forest soil. No nutes yet.

I think for some reason the LR #2 was stretching toward my (4) 2700k 26W bulbs, I should have raised the LR #2 closer to the lights and then moved it down as it got taller. But oh well, I have done LST to the LR this morning and I have attached some pictures. It was almost at the top of the case when I woke up today, this is what made me want to tie down immediately. By the way...I like to tie down with hemp string bought at a local art store like ac moore or Michael's, it works for me!

P.S. she is really starting to smell skunky when I open the case, thankfully I have a foothill carbon scrubber 6" x 18" with a fan controller attached.

How old is your LR #2? Was it feminized? I got mine from the attitude seed-bank. Also got a bunch of freebie seeds as well!

I'm using (4) 2700k 26W CFL's, I have (4) 80mm out-take fans, (1) intake fan, carbon filters on each out-take fan, and plexi glass velcro'd right below the lights to keep it from burning my baby!

Oh yeah and the LST shelf sits between my fan's and is held there very securely... surprisingly! The LST shelf is just a closet shoe shelf I got at LOWES for about $12 and I cut off the sides which usually hang from the closet shelf so that the bottom is the only thing that remains, and this is the final result.

mine is at day 24 also.

feminized from attitude (along with freebies)

still no preflowers / barely growing.

she will be 25 days old at 6pm today.

temps are pretty stable (around 5-7 degrees from ambient room)
- room temp: 77-79 // case: 82-84

just moved up my lights to about 3-4 inches. (i think its what caused the burn)

From the pictures you posted, I think it's the soil man. I'm using fox farm ocean forest, maybe you should look into that stuff. It works wonders for my garden.

Also, I transplanted around day 18-19...I can't remember exactly. But once I transplanted into 2 gallon smart pot, that thing just shot up like a rocket in the next few days.

1 80mm intake
2 80mm fans aiming at lights >> exhaust

started a light paperclip lst just to get some side growth (dont think its necessary because its barely moving...)

no plexi glass / have a screen also / 3 5000k + 1 2700k

- maybe its because i have 2 plants in there?
(definitely thinking pheno tho..)

Dude....your plant needs serious help bud! I would guess if it continues you will lose this plant? Looks like heat issue to me?? Hmmmm.. Good luck!

water day will actually be today at lights on (new day) (6 pm)
soil is still a little moist 2 knuckle deep but in need.

took the pictures for the LR #2 this morning.

soil im using is also FFOF / HAPPY FROG - 50/50 mix

Yeah, you might want to try adding a bit more 2700k CFL's because this is an auto-flower strain. Also, are you on 18/6? Remember it should be on 18/6 for it's entire life!

she is definitely having some troubles.

i dont understand why the the other plant is doing alright.. and she is barely moving.

all good tho -- its my first grow so its just a learning experience from here on out.

any bud i get regardless the amount = happy days =).

definitely had some heat issue sin the beginning of the grow
- this most likely played a role in the slow growth.

even if i have to kill her off -- i will then flip the 2nd plant to 12/12.

basically still will have some sort of harvest -- atleast.

its still on veg state so i opted for more day lights of 3:1 ratio.

seen some journals with only daylights 5000k / 6500k with results
also seen some with just 2700k with results.

lights doesnt really matter for auto but i still want to add the spectrum and what not.

----

running 18/6 like what the dr recommended. (tho some people run 20/4 - 24/0 with results)

no worries tho -- if she dies then its 12/12 for the 2nd plant.

got a couple more seeds to plant after this trial.

will also be doing 1 plant at a time after this grow.

----

i will keep you updated man! -- and maybe start a journal.
