Well, I'm not going to call you a liar because I'm not 100% sure. But when I used to run magnetic ballasts my pics looked just like that. Pics under my digital ballasts make the whole background a dull yellow but my plants were still green in color. Are you running digital capable bulbs?

I love when people say he did amazing in job creation. lol. You do understand that the population of the US is dynamic, not static, and always increasing... By default, even if you maintain the same % of job creation as the president of the previous term, you will create more total jobs. Yet, Obama has huge rates of unemployment. How can one have done so amazing creating jobs, yet has many more individuals out of jobs, claiming welfare and unemployment?

What are you saying? A magnetic ballast gives electricity some magical power and changes the bulbs output to a different spectrum? I would be fascinated to hear your views on quantum physics and parallel universes.

do you mean bulbs at 60hrz or 50hrz ?

oh and spectrum has zero to do with ballast . . you would be a worthy adversary . . but please dont make assumptions about growing . . . i may be many things but a dubious(word of the month) knowledgeable grower i am not


ive been at it for only 7 years 4 on my own . . . . .i am by no means a expert/master(i only do indoors coco/soiless soil ) but i am quite astute

LOL Dude, you're talking out your ass, I never said one thing about a ballast changing the spectrum of an HPS light, you did. One thing I do know is, taking pics under a bulb in a digital ballast vs. a magnetic looks way different. Whether it's because of the much lower hz in the magnetic ballast that effects the filtering in the camera or whatever, but it looks way different under a digital ballast, especially when the bulb life is nearing it's end.

I take it you are a lighting engineer and an accomplished physicist, why don't you explain it to me?

or more likely in the time between taking picture A under a magnetic ballast, and picture B under a digitally controlled ballast your camera was replaced, or the aperture settings were altered. changes to the way the camera views the light presented is a far more likely scenario than any change to the light itself given the same spectrum bulbs and light intensity.

I have no idea why pics look different but I do think it has something to do with the light waves (hz).
I can go dig out an old coil over ballast and using the same camera and settings, the pictures will look different!

Perhaps we'll find out for certain once the Bad Dog quantum physicist publishes his findings on the forum for us!
