"POT" drying, lol

I looked around a little bit and couldn't find any info, so hope I am not asking a question that has been asked a million and one times.
Has anyone tried harvesting by just stopping the water and letting the plant die naturally, in the pot? If so what were the results?

lol.......sure. the THC would all go dark.............might get mold............off-flavors from slow dying process. if it was a good method.............all would be doin' it by now. there's the best answer:)

I did it and got good results. I am in a dry area so it dried real fast like just a few days, was a fluffy sativa too. If you are in a humid zone I would be cautious.

I have a fluffy sativa, its not super dense right now compared to my greencracks which had huge fat buds. The sativa is fluffy and light and almost bare.. do u think it will beef up in the next few weeks. And mold hit my green cracks cause they were so fat and big.. so had to harvest them a little early.. but my sativa hempstar was so late flowering it wasnt hit by the mold. Just wondering about your experience about when to harvest a pure sativa. The green cracks were a sativa as well but the hempstar is legit.

I checked the trichs on mine and harvested at 10 to 20% amber. A few took 13 weeks and 2 took 15 weeks. ACE Panama Red.

Waiting for those sativas to get fully mature is the only way to fly imo. Indicas too for that matter.

I have no idea of your strain 'hempstar' but most strains will add some weight in the final 2 weeks.

i managed to drown a plant - used a orange juice carton and didnt make any drainage holes haha - and it smelt like horse piss and the moldly underside of a couch for the longest time... not sure if that helps but im guessing a 'cut' plant may produce more desirable results, in terms of odor, taste etc....
