CO2 on the cheap

If you wanted to add CO2 without spending much upfront, would a kerosene space heater be a good way to go? (the house doesn't have natural gas)

Might not have exactly 1500ppm, but its a lot cheaper than a gas line / co2 generator or a propane co2 generator.

Cheaper than that is a air exchange every 30 seconds if I remember right. Will give you most of the benefit of co2 additions. Lots of co2 in normal air.

i ran a completely sealed room for 2 years before adding co2 and had great yields. they will do fine with just you exhaling in the room. wait and do it right, that heater idea sounds like a very bad one.

They stink, and they can be dangerous as well. If you want added CO2 they have them bags you can hang up that last like a month at a time. I've never used it either and I have a sealed room that only brings air in but not out. I dont have a scrubber to clean the outgoing :)

But, $5+ per gallon for kerosene for 8-10 hours burn, plus you will have the added heat, fire risk, etc. I personally wouldn't.
If you want a cheap alternative, spend more time in your room, maybe take your dog or cat with you to help out.

About 600 ppm - less than half of whats optimal. I also try to never take in much air, due to the risk of pests / male pollen.
Dude, you must live in a brewery! The rest of us have to make do with only 250-300 ppm in "normal" air. If I could get 600 ppm out of my air, I would be happy and never look back!

That is pretty shitty. Thought they ran longer...
