OG Kush, Day 49 Trich pics...almost ready????

Well here ya go RIU, I'm at day 49 this am. This bud that I photographed was taken on day 47. Lot's of amber, lot's of trichs, very little in the way of crystals. I've got a GDP right next to her that's just covered in sugar, but these Kush look dry in comparison, so I thought I might have quite a bit longer, until I looked at these trich pics...I could really use some help here folks, please tell me what you think!!!

have you looked at other buds on the same plant some buds mature faster than others. but its good if you like to harvest on the cloudy side.

That's a good point. I actually took this from the lower end of the plant, and it was certainly not the most dense bud on the girl

I just saw this question, sorry...The buds look good, they've looked red and dense for quite awhile, but they are getting more white hairs too.

Also, I know this may sound stupid, but i don't understand receded. I know what the word means, but I don't understand what I'm supposed to be looking at on the bud. That which is or is not receded. Apologize if I sound like a retard, just smoked some of that sample

first of all you have a lovely buds in there !

when the pistills will recede into a calyxes and the calyxes will swollen thats bud you see when its drying. thats sign they lost abitily to receive the pollen, its in ripen stage and its it signal for harvest time.

Depend on high/stone type you like to feel...wanna feel the high to the sky then you should get all the cloudy on trichs...50/50 of cloudy and amber it will get you high and stoned at same time...if you let it became overripen, you will feel very stoned and sickly feeling, its great meds for sleep or numb the pains. You can harvest that part, you will expriement which one you like...you will know what you re doing next time when you re ready to harvest :D

    Thanks very much. I've learned so much this first grow, thanks to forums like this and people that are willing to actually do more than look at the pictures and help a guy out. I do like a stony weed, so I'm going to let them go awhile. From what you've seen with these pics, how much longer do you think I should take them? I thought it was a 70 day strain, but if today is day 49, I'm thinking that could be completely off target.

if im not mistaken og kush is a 8-9 wk strain. as stated earlier, depending on how you like your high would determine or give you a better idea when to chop between the 8-9 wks.

I'd look it over and see if there are ambers lower on the plant, if there are..chop time. The bud shots look ripe, are you sure they're 49 days?

Thanks so much all! My brother in law is here today and says they're almost done as well. He got a couple of great bud shots last night..here's one of the GDP. My bro says this bud is perfectly ripe and says we should take it soon!

I think the Kush is still a few days away as well. Some of the picks you can see the white hairs haven't yet turned red. You can easily see the crystalline difference between the Kush and the GDP...I've got family here today, will post a couple more pics tomorrow... Thank you all for your input!!!

Oh, and I started counting from the day of the light switch.... Today is day 50 from 12/12

Ok here's a couple more shots of the GDP taken this evening. She does look almost ready, the trichs look pretty clear and not much amber, I'm thinking this girl has at least another week...???

yeah its almost ready, bro...keep check the trichs daily which more cloudy and few amber are most desirable to chop down.

Im glad you did have a good patience with this one...its worth to wait..
