I burst out laughing on reading that. Thanks! cncannabineer ... Growone, when I think hash plant, I'm put in mind of Afghani and Iranian indica landraces. cn rightfully so, but those arrived over here a bit later, at least in any quantity
back in the 70's you would see Moroccan hash to some extent, Lebanese was around to a greater extent
of course, not much hash has seeds with it, so doesn't really nail it down
I don't know, but my instinct is "not". I'd do the transition outdoors and rig a removable shade. cnThere is an area in my house that only gets morning sun between 7AM and 10AM. There is also an area that gets probably 2 hours of afternoon sun before it goes behind the trees. Would one of those areas work for a transition stage?
Your indoor experience is exactly what I need right now So if I were to say - veg a plant for 3 months indoors - keep it topped and make sure it has the growth I would like, then put it outdoors when the light is still 18/6(after the transition period) it would still veg until the days got to 12/12 - correct? How would I go about doing the transition without sparking the plant into bud mode? keep it under the light for 17 hours and 1 in sun, then next day 16 light 2 sun, then 15 light 3 sun etc...? would it take about a month for the transition or could i do 2-3 hours at a time? Like 2 hours at first - then 4 - then 6 or something of that nature? Even possibly 1 in the morning 2 in evening, then 2 in morning 3 in evening? until it is all 18/6 outdoor light?People have maintained mothers in veg for years. It's the lighting. That said, plants have a minimum age before they can be kicked into flower. The first months outdoors ... seedlings will veg, but a mature plant could be tricked into flowering. Sorry, but my experience is indoors ... so I don't know how clones fare in the spring. They're physiologically mature, even if small. cn
So do a light dep in a sense?I don't know, but my instinct is "not". I'd do the transition outdoors and rig a removable shade. cn
First- my hash has never had seeds in it.cannabineer ... Growone, when I think hash plant, I'm put in mind of Afghani and Iranian indica landraces. cn rightfully so, but those arrived over here a bit later, at least in any quantity

If you're up to that effort, that should work well.Your indoor experience is exactly what I need right now So if I were to say - veg a plant for 3 months indoors - keep it topped and make sure it has the growth I would like, then put it outdoors when the light is still 18/6(after the transition period) it would still veg until the days got to 12/12 - correct? Not really. Outdoor shade will be pretty bright compared to indoor lighting, unless that baby was scootched up close to a 1000 MH.So do a light dep in a sense?
Just so. cn ...I pulled off a winter crop last year using lights outside on plants close to the house did a pull, and kept the light on longer to put it back into veg and just pulled the whole plant today with buds 5x bigger than the first time. - would I be going about this the same way?
I was obviously making a joke too - "tell them they are doing it wrong"First- my hash has never had seeds in it. Second- it was 40 years ago forgive me if I am wrong but the package they are in(written 40 years ago) says Original Hash Plant. PS- if you ever get hash with seeds in it again you might want to contact who you got it from and tell them they are doing it wrong...
the seeds in hash was a joke mostly, cn picked up on it
if they're in a package, i think it's unlikely there from the 70's, i didn't think there were any seed banks operating then
not 100% sure since europe's law on cannabis seeds has always been more lenient than the usa
I used one of those heat lamps with a clamp to hold it in place, the ones with the metal lamp covers. Would the same light work for the plants in this situation? That was the light of choice during the winter because it kept the plants from freezing over too bad.Just so. cn ...
In reality I was not the one who got the fixture - it was my partner who does indoor grows at times. I do not know what type of bulb it is but that might very well be what is in it. I just know where the fixture itself came from, does an actinic bulb have a special look to it?I think you must provide some blue light ... that's what trips a plant's "it's daytime" sensor. I think.
So I'd go with the fixture, but an "actinic" bulb ... cn
The light is bluish. I have a T5 fixture that i fitted with aquarium bulbs as per the "LED without LEDs" thread ... a way to use reef specialist bulbs in a T5 fixture to build a PAR-spectrum light source. The actinic bulbs have that bluish discharge-headlight look. cnIn reality I was not the one who got the fixture - it was my partner who does indoor grows at times.
