:shock:Hello everyone this is my first outdoor grow (1 plant) and I'm in the final week before harvest. I was wondering...I've heard some people say leave plants in total darkness for 24-48hrs. What does this do? And does this apply to outdoor plants as well???

I tried it with one plant and didn't see much difference. I'd be interested in hearing other's experiences. I plan to try with another couple of smaller plants. It's supposed to help the calyxes swell and with general ripeness, I suppose. However, if you wait until the plant is ripe when you pick it, I don't see that it would be all that helpful. Might be a good step if crappy weather is on the horizon and you have to pull a little early because of that.

its not something you have to do so dont worry. thc levels increase a bit (preatty little) from being put in total darkness for 48-72h.

Hmm never heard of the calyxes thing, but have heard its to increase resin/trichome production.

Of course theres to proof to either theory so one can only speculate :D
