Debate word count

While watching the debate last night, I noticed that Obama used a certain word quite often. The word I'm talking about is *uhhhh*. I've been told by teachers as long as I can remember not to say *uhhhh* while speaking in public.

Later tonight after getting medicated, I will rewatch the debate while keeping a tally of every *uhhhh* spoken by both candidates. *Uhhhh* any predictions to the *uhhhh* outcome?

Yes, really.

I once failed an oral report for doing that very thing. I kept doing it because I was unprepared for the assignment. I was around 10 or 12 years old. What is the presidents excuse?

Not only did the President use uhhh a lot, but to me he didn't look well at all. It may shock some readers, but the Pres spoke 4 more minutes than Romney.
Look for a rope-a-dope. His handlers failed on this debate...they will be better prepared for the next one.

I heard long ago that an "uuuhhhhh....." is used to buy time while an appropriate lie is formulated in the brain.

They're called vocal segregates. They're used as fillers for "awkward silence." The professional thing to do is pause. We're not Japanese where you're expected to throw in a random "eeh toe" to show you're speaking causally. I thought he was black, why not throw in a few "wazzup, 'fo shizzle muh nizzle," it'd be more culturally appropriate. "Uhhh," just makes you look like a retard.

If it's not written down for him, he always struggles. If he goes off the teleprompter, he says things that get him into trouble. He's not an exceptionally bright fellow and these kind of events highlight that fact. In Kleins book (The Amateur), he writes about a weekly get together of Harvard professors to speak intelligently and discuss various topics in a casual setting. Obama chose NEVER to attend. Not once, even though he was encourage to. Many in the group felt it was because he couldn't compete, and didn't want to be in over his head- and embarrassed by it all.

Do you really think an un-intelligent individual could hold office for a full 4 years..and have a chance at re-election?

Was it Bush's failed stimulus that put 90$ billion into green energy subsidies to Solyndra, and Fisker? Why are our tax dollars going to create green jobs in Finland? Did Bush F*ck up the stimulus; or was that all Obama? Not so shovel ready jobs I guess
