unmarried parenthood and welfare dependency is pretty much entirely a function of socio economic conditions, not melanin content.

through the 70's 80's 90's and even now the prevalence of "illegitimacy" is rampant in the "black community" (we must couch these statements in metaphor and non-offensive language or be called racists<but we wiull still be called racists for politically incorrect thought[because everything is always racist]>) and many social scientists and demographers want to know why.
there are many social differences between black social structure and everybody else, even chicano and asian family structures are not as disturbed and unblanced as the ones you find in the black enclaves while those among blacks outside the "black community" (or if you preferr, the ghetto) are NOT nearly so divergent from the norm. its not a racial issue its a societal and cultural; issue.
children being raised by their grandparents instead of at least one actual parent is rare save in the case of orphans and wards of the state, but in the "black community" its commonplace and not even remarkable. in many cases the identity of the father of a particular kid is completely unknown or requires a 4 episode story arc on Jerry Springer to ascertain. this is not normal in america, it is ABNORMAL and wondering why is not racist. several of the more prominent members of the black intelligentsia ask the same questions (tony brown, most notably among them) just before they are labeled "House Niggers" or "Uncle Toms" and exiled to honkeytown forever. meanwhile good and faithful feild hands and "real niggas" (like cornell west, al sharpton and sean combs) shuck and jive for the democrat and liberal party line while never asking why the "black community" has not prospered under liberal dogma, even in "chocolate cities" where black liberalism has dominated for decades. in fact "chocolate cities" tend to be the MOST mismanaged, run down, decrepit and violent (see oakland, washington dc, detroit, et al). perhaps its not a problem with black PEOPLE but a problem in black CULTURE. but we cannot ask such questions. that would be racist.
i can assure you if chicano communities were factionalized, ghettoized, and falling into a morass of fail, welfare dependency and ignorance was viewed as a virtue you would not be able to keep the chicano community's most educated and most successful from trying to fix that shit. you certainly would not see chicanos calling marco rubio or cruz bustamante a "sellout", race traitors for daring to seek the answers for the things troubling their people.
