I get you, and have nothing bad to say about that; 18/6 is perfectly ok, as is 16/8 or 14/10. 24/0 will generally give you the tightest spacing between nodes, and larger fan leaves, but the point is to go from beginning to end. As with movies, 90% is the ending, not leaving you hanging or saying, "fuck, that was a waste of my time!". If you wish to use a dark cycle, do so. In my experience, it's been much simpler and easier to operate with lights on for veg, and 12/12 for flowering. Set it and forget it, spend your time on more important things than waiting and watching.Having said that, there's nothing wrong with letting plants veg for 24/0 for a while, after they r old enough that they can go without needing rest during veg... I've done it before with no adverse effects when I switched 'em back to 18/6. When I was a new, impatient grower, thinking I was speeding up things, I used to only let my seedlings stay under 24/0, but I just feel like since in nature(unless u live in Alaska), the sun doesn't shine for 24 hours, so in my grows neither should my lights. So, for me, there's no point in trying to rush the process and do things that wouldn't be happenning in nature... U dig?
