Fuck if I can find it now... but a couple weeks ago I read something on this site about if u use this site then u agree no information posted on these forums can be used to prosecute riu users.

I'm paraphrasing from memory though... but maybe someone else has seen this.

Lots of places don't answer subpoena requests, Google is one of them, Overgrow was one of them.

RIU can't stop the government from prosecuting growers whose information it got from RIU, if RIU refused to acknowledge the subpoena, or didn't keep records of its forums activities they could endlessly delay all requests for information like Google is doing, like Overgrow did, like anyone who has their users interests at heart would do. The thread is in Grow Room and Design, the 30 page thread that was closed, very last post by the ADMIN, trying to jump on board with these other pompous asses. Calls me a newbie after revealing my grow location, after these dudes were following me around to every thread trying to troll me. This place just represents how ignorant and backward the average person is, so glad this happened sooner rather than later.

inbound IP from clients have no corresponding name dipwad. They find out by the IP NETWORK number scheme itself which is issued to the ISP. I think you mean reverse DNS? that's doable.

Seriously though, who has been nabbed by ANY grow op solely from posting on RIU? I can recall one but the dude blatantly named RIU in other correspondence. Most of the grows on RIU are so small and a waste of time for LE. I heed your warning, anything is possible.
