does it look bad if you order a lot online if you live in apartments?
it sure feels uncomfortable when the main office gets them
 
i buy loads of stuff on-line not just grow gear. doesnt bother me, but ive been doin it a few years
 
Most online purchases offer discrete packaging for gifts and the ones I have dealt with do it free of charge. I would not worry about it unless the packages coming through are obviously for growing. FYI it is a felony for someone to open your mail/packages just to put your mind at rest if you were worrying about that.
 
Another idea might be to buy something online from overseas, like a ball cap or something, and open it up in front of the people in the office - you're showing them not to be concerned about what is in your mail. I think this honestly helps.
 
i figured there wasnt any issue doing it i just like to see others opinions so i can set my paranoia aside
too bad 2/8 of my lights were broken
 
I know the feeling man I hope you are able to find peace. I spent the first couple months of my growing thinking everyone passing through the halls might know about my activities. It was only after months of growing with no problems that I truly started to feel safe.

That is carelessness by shipping company, nothing to do with apt.
As far as ordering a lot to an apt., nobody's business. Even if box says 'fragile light inside', nobody knows what you're growing. Actually apt. might be more incog than a house, because everybody knows apt.s don't have big yards.
 
you'll never know when they arrive. first time i received mine through the mail i accidently threw them away. after several minutes it dawned on me to
check the package again!!! found them. GL
 
People buy lots of things online all the time. So long as the company you are using does not send things in boxes with 2cannabis grow kit" stamped on the side then you're laughing :) In fact from various folks experience on this forum, seems that it's a lot safer buying online than from local stores.
 
I don't really care. I"m in VT where I have a medical clearance, so doesn't really worry me much with the exception of getting hassled. With that said I buy a lot of things online. I don't think it looks weird because I buy tons of things online. I do a good portion of my shopping online because it's cheaper and there's a much better selection online than anywhere local.

If you are ordering on Amazon choose the "Send as a gift" option - it might cost more, but there won't be any product markings on the package.

I work for one of the two major us shipping companies that isn't USPS. It is not illegal for us to open any package at anytime for any reason. Its part of the carrier agreement that everyone signs to ship a package with a private carrier. If the shipper doesnt us USPS then you run a much greater risk imo
 
the only site I don't like ordering from so far is htgsupply.com it says htgsupply right on the return address and if your ordering a lot from them the ups guys might get curious and google htg supply and find its a hydro shop.

also HTG is wayyyy over priced in my opinion id rather use Ebay and Amazon
i thought i should have made it as a gift.. just didnt feel like it..
does that also mean they all come together rather separate ?

I have to respectfully disagree that htg is overpriced. Greners is overpriced and sucks, htg has done me right and trust me, I'm all about price and quality. Plus they have an awesome return policy. I had a problem with a fan and they just sent me a new one with a return label for the defective one. Try that with ebay. They also guarantee their bulbs the same way. If one pops they will send you another one. They actually sent me a $40 bulb for free. Once again try that with ebay or greners. BTW greners sucks, did I mention that. Very expensive and the people don't know shit. One guy there told me I could use a regular booster fan with a carbon filter, yeah right. They also don't honor defective gear unless you jump through a hoop or two. I guess they're fed up with people trying to pull scams.

To answer your original question I think you honestly know the answer since you asked the question. A lot of times in life your first instincts are correct and your instincts are telling you it's not cool to have stuff sent to an apt. office so I wouldn't do it. I can tell you if I worked in an apt office and a bunch of packages came with names of businesses I didn't recognize I might be bored enough to take 3 seconds to google the name and then bam, you're exposed
 
none of my packages have had a company name on it just large boxes seem sketchy
well if you arent using ebay/amazon id recommend HTG compared to others
i got my lights from 1000bulbs.com
their sending me 2 new bulbs free of charge and i dont have to send them the broken ones back
cross my fingers the replacement ones dont get broke.
i think my manager smokes weed tho, she sometime wears ti die shirts and her son asked if i could front him some bud i said "i stopped smoking sorry bro" hahaha
i prefer no one knowing i smoke at least strangers keepn a low profile
 
Fronting someone some bud = distribution = big no no

Don't talk to that kid anymore, he sounds like trouble.
