Bleaching down grow rooms!

Hello all, i hear that the main advice from professional growers to avoid pests like spider mites etc etc is to bleach your room down in between grows to kill off everything thats waiting dorment.

my question is, what do i use to spray down my room? what type of bleach, also can someone recommend me a mix to use,

i measure in ml and litres, thanks all.

Just use a spray bottle ,spray walls cracks floors etc. The best way to avoid spidermites is have good temp control, vacuum regularly and dont enter the grow room when you have been in the yard,garden, bush etc.

and what would you put into the spray bottle? what product and how much? sorry to seem a bit dense, but i need to know that im spraying enough to kill off anything that could still be alive haha

I also bomb My room with a Doctor doom bomb in between grows. I don't bleach my walls (not good for paint) but my grow room has hard wood floors so I bleach mop it. I also no streak Windex the Mylar.

Bleach is bleach man. You don't gotta buy some overpriced "hydro" brand. use clorox.

I use 1/3 cup per gallon to scrub/mop floors. 1/2 cup to 4 gallons as a spray

10% bleach solution will do ya. 9 parts water/1 part bleach.

Regular bleach from the grocery store. Cheapest is good.

Skip the bleach spray if carpeted. Wiping the walls down is best anyway. Actually removes the dust instead of just sterilizing it.

Please do not put as much bleach as was suggested above... using more than a cap full or 2 at the most in a gallon is really a toxic ppm for a cleaning solution. If the water feels slimy and stinks of chlorine then it is too strong. If you don't believe it please look it up on a chemical safety site.

Why would anyone use a paint sprayer to spray down a room with bleach water? A $1 spray bottle will do just fine, not an expensive paint sprayer, thats for, uh, painting? I'm a painter and thats just plain silly, I hope you're kidding. Seriously.

The Clorox bottle calls for 1cup per gallon for mopping floors...3/4cup per gallon for tiles.
You shouldnt be putting your hands in bleach water in the first place (therefore you shouldnt know if its slimy or not). It's caustic and can burn you. Use gloves!

edit: although you might be right about 1:10 bleach/water being a little excessive lol

I have worked many a year in restaurants and actually have my food safety certificate... this is something that you need to know.. it is base knowledge.. and many people mix Dangerously strong concentrations.

Cap or two spray vent call it good. Keep sprayer for bleach only now cause even a little will kill those microbes. You want them.

I'd use half a cap in a litre bottle.
