Sup guys so my plan is for a early grow this year up in Chico CA with a 12x15 greenhouse, 20 plants, 2-4 600 watt lights, and thinking about going hydro since there is running water and electricity at the grow site. Starting feb 1st to veg for 2 months ( should do well with the greenhouse being heated and getting good supplemental light) then force flowering in April and May to harvest around June 1st. Also thinking of doing a scrog to help maximize the greenhouse space. Looking to get 1.5 lbs or more per plant how doable does that seem with this setup? thanks for the input guys

btw I have 4 years indoor and outdoor experience just never done anything this big before

Twenty 1.5lb plants in a 12x15 greenhouse? IMO they will not fit. Not even close.

Well that's not really possible to fit 20 plants in that size room and expect to get 1lb off each one. eight good monster plants will be much better than a lot of small ones

Hey man, 30lbs sounds like ALOT for that grow space... but dont take our word for it, try it!

With a setup like the one you described, I personally would see it as a major success to yield half of that, but hey, there's only one way to find out ;)

Here is my 10x30 carport with extended sides. There is 11 close to 3/4lb to 1lb plants. I could fit 3 more into the cover but sun does not reach those spots at all. Dead zone if you will.

I don't honestly think you'd squeeze 10 plants in there and still have room to walk around if you think you're going to get 24 oz. per plant........... And, I don't have indoor exp. yet, but from what I've read, that doesn't sound like anywhere near enough light for even 10 plants, let alone 20.

yea the lights are just to help keep the greenhouse warm in feb/march and help them on rainy any potential rainy/overcast days then pure sunlight in april/may but haha oddly enough just talked to the guy today and said he doesn't care how much space i use since his backyard is enormous....like 100ftx100ft so keep everything the same but maybe do a 20x20 greenhouse with like 8-10 600 watts....wont compromise on yield so go big or go home this shit is gonna be nuts. I figure 4.5ftx4.5ft should be plenty enough to get 1.5 lbs each

never plan on getting what you like. first off you think your plants are going to stay 4.5x4.5 when you are starting veg in feb?

Look at it this way. My plants in these pics are close to 1lb. Only one will be over 1lb. Most you see are 3/4lb. The most your going to fit into a 10x20 space with even 1lb plant is 7. And to do that I had to extend one side on the 10x20 carport. Notice the wood making the cover wider? So figure 6 1lb plants per 12x20 space. Or that how I figure it out anyway. And thats even cramped. Also these plants were late start as well.

for 30 pounds you need closer to a 50'x25' GH with 15 foot ceilings. and even then, you'll need to know exactly what you're doing.

and trimming 30 pounds requires a small army of trimmers. i have a buddy who does that much and pays out close to 10k for trimming help each year. 30 pounds is a lot to trim.
