Just from the one picture you have, the plant looks healthy. I wouldn't do any thing to the plant at this time, looks like you only about a week or two into it, give it about a month. Just my thought.

I'd say she's almost ready to be topped. I do it around the 4th-5th node. Read the link that was posted above. You don't have to though. Depends on how much space you have to work with and personal preference

topping is not always best. some strains like it and some dont. my superskunk looks terrible and yield is less when topped while my pineapple express loves it. if you have not grown the strain before i would not top it. see what it does and have something to compare to. as for trimming fan leafs, its a touchy subject here, i rape them before going to flower, and at weeks 2 & 5. i never noticed a difference in finish time but yield was a considerable difference, trim time went way down and hardly any popcorn.

So are you saying that by trimming the fan leaves you increased your yield because they where not blocking light to the lower popcorn area?

I trim a ton at 2 weeks flower. Also get rid of any small branches on the bottom few inches of the plant. They won't do anything. But after that I don't tuch them. Just pull any bad leaves off.

exactly. light penetration made a big difference. now, this will get a shitload of respones, but i have seen no detrimental issues with the plants and i believe that in a very controlled environment(and mine is) that the plant,at certain stages like after initial growth in flower and last two-three weeks where bud production is working, does not need all of the leaves.

i feel the same way superstoner, lots of people disagree and say not to cut anything when in flower. a cannabis plant can lose over half its leaves and be just fine. i cant help but cut any fans that are blocking light, especially in flower. i think a leaf or two here and there is a fair trade for light penetration.

Just don't stress it out to the point it stops growing. I'm with you guys on trimming. Please font think I'm not. If I can't get light to my bucket I cut. But do as little as possible.
