I get my meds lab tested, I even test the same strain over multiple grows using different techniques and different harvest times looking for optimum potency. For the reasons I test, I want very accurate and consistent results and would never use one of these home kits....

I have been considering getting a brix refractometer to check the brix of my plants. I know it won't tell me the thc content but it should tell me the overall health of the plant and I might get my soil tested to see if its lacking anything.
High brix gardening has been around for awhile but until recently I have never seen any high brix marijuana grows so I am excited to see the difference between what I usually do and a high brix grow.

In your example though, I want an EPT test that not only says positive or negative, but one that gives full pussy report.

I am going to do a nice run of Hillbilly Armor. Figured I would run samples to 3,4 labs and compare results. Does anyone here think that four labs in Michigan will fetch 4 similar results? I don't want to throw around incorrect shit so I will attempt to word this carefully. (Like most of my posts. ya right). There is a person up here that started a testing lab doing this, now they/he is trying to get $25-30k tester. Some shit like that. Anyway, I laughed out loud when someone suggested paying top dollar for that. If it's accurate, joke is on me. Good chance he is making big money also. When I run this Hillbilly Armor I will use him, the place in TC, Lansing, and at market. If I hear the home tests are worth anything, we will grab a kit and try it against these four tests. $150 isn't shit when it comes to testing, cuz if it is accurate, then the savings would be in thousands. These science experiments really give me a fucking headache though. Once I get started, it would turn into 45 spin-off research projects. lmao.

it is fully understood that a home test can not hope to provide
as accurate as lab results.

breathalyser machines used to be just for police stations too.

But ill bet some hillbillies out there would buy the test
just so they could boast "my weed is tested so yours
must be shit." no matter what the test results is.

Well then you can be the one who drops $150 on the kit and trust that data. I will not. Just another company preying on the uninformed. That's the name of the game these days. Talk to some lab techs, they don't even claim to be 100% accurate due to the variables in the process. So to think that a random grower at home can get as accurate results from a $150 kit as a lab with equipment that costs tens of thousands of dollars and you need to train on, is ridiculous.

I figure someday I'll see the home tests for sale somewhere and buy some. Then I can test all of my strains. Then I can take one of the strains and have it tested somewhere else, or a few places and see. I don't imagine they would be super accurate, but likely a lot cheaper way to compare a large amount of samples. If the results at least mostly agree with the other tests.
