Soil to DWC

This is my first DWC attempt. I am experienced with soil but first time with DWC/aeroponics/bubbleponics.
So I had these nice rooted cuttings, in soil, and I soaked them in a dark area of the grow room(away from the HIDs). I think the key is being extra gentle with the root ball AND NOT EXPOSING THE ROOT BALL TO LIGHT(HID ESPECIALLY!). Well, all four have strong roots. Three have obvious tap roots. The fourth has obvious roots but the tap root has not dropped-down like all the others.

My question is this. I am running a layer of hydroton, then the main layer is 50/50 croutons/hydroton, then the top layer is hydroton. My question is in regards to water level and then TDS. Initially, I had the water level at the top of the bottom layer of hydroton. Then I noticed that the croutons at the top where saturated. So, I lowered the water level and they seemed to do better. As you can see the smaller plants(I think they are a diff. strain) are doing better that the taller plants(which look a little water-logged to me). My clone source is respected but usually so stoned he doesn't remember which strain he's giving me. They are either sour diesel or purple... ;-)

I started out with a very dilute nute solution... should I up it? There is plenty of air in the water(two stones per bucket and two ecoplus pumps... they look a little starved or water-logged to me, but again... this is my first DWC. Thank you.

They dont look too bad at all man.. How far along are they?
What's your ppms at? You dont need the water level to be so high.. Either touching the bottom of the net pot or even an inch or two below.

I think you can up your nutes.
