yep thats what I've heard. But I'm still new to the site but all the reading I have done says you need both for it to be considered a herm.

Yes and no, a hermaphrodite plant will have both pistils and pollen sacs, but a female plant that has gone hermaphrodite may have hundreds, or just one pollen sac.
