Please read my grow journal for all the updates until now the link is in my signature but please someone I need help my plants are in bad shape 1 is drooping very bad and the other one has so many brown marks I don't know what to do anymore. I have them in scotts premium potting soil and it says continuous feeding for up to 4 months are these effects of maybe the soil being too strong for them?

Hmm I thought he said it was scotts premium potting soil
I think his self diagnosis was correct
Miracle Grow and other pre fertilized soil mixtures have a tenancy to be
too strong for baby pot plants.
Is there a way you can move them to a mix like this one?

yeah no worries he did say it in the above post, I didn't go to the journal either lol
At the age of those lil babies personally I would start over with a better thought out plan and more research beforehand. But thats me.
Didnt mean to shout at you Orecal.

it's cool...... actually, I stopped reading the post before that even (stupid me)...... and you right, I'd start over with a new and better plan...... but they can be saved.....

O and BTW: I dont think you should be using soil that has time release nutes in it.

for some reason i dont think its the soil because i am using that same soil and my plant is doing great and its about the same size if not smaller...

i also added alot more perlite to the soil if that matters any.

Hello,

Sorry about my message I was only on my lunch break and thats why I said refer to my Journal as I didn't have time to write it all out. So now I'm confused if the guy above is using the same soil then what the hell could be wrong lol. My water is always ph'd at 7.0 but here is where I might have an issue to. See I have a moisture meter that reads from 1 to 10 in my journal people said I should water when it gets below 3 well so i tried that but then I got scared of over watering because my soil reads under 3 and sometimes even between 0 and 1 the night I watered my plants in the morning and it just doesn't seem right to me. So could this be an under watering issue? I have no problem trying to start again but I'd rather try to save these right now. In fact I have 2 new ones that just broke surface 2 days ago. But before I go and change stuff can someone maybe look into my water issue and help me out a bit thank you in advanced!

Just make a bag of soil mix and flush it out with a few gallons of water.

Miracle Grow used to burn my plants..so I rinsed some of the nutes out and now it's fine.

Using soil with time release nutes is okay when you're a new grower, til you figure out how to correctly add nutes.

Ok well I plan on switching my soil is there other mixes that I can use besides the other one that I was given? Also I only have walmart and homedepot to go to so there is no hydro shops or anything in my town. Also I'm not sure how I go about mixing all of these ingredients I feel with like that percent things I'm just going to end up putting to much of something in it that shouldn't be there.?

Bring your PH down to 6.0,,humidity 40-70%,,temp 80-85 F , Change soil ,, and keep them in a smaller pot..:leaf:
