I feel you... Being multi-strain and trying to be on a set schedule is what stops me from doing it with more plants... 10 days extra is an extra 25 % veg, 20 days and your looking at nearly 50 % veg. If I'm already getting reasonable g/watt on plants that veg shorter and don't do well mainlined it's hard to work them in... for instance... my jillybean was basically 1.5 veg cycles compared to that of the other plants

For me it doesn't matter if it's popcorn (i'm assuming you'd consider a full developed 2-3 g nugget popcorn looking at your colas), as long as you are doing work for whatever space you have... You can realistically break 2lbs a light with a scrog set up and a single light, you won't get the sweet colas but you will get a beautiful harvest I assure you of that :joint:

Anytime you try to push the limits of your yield in your space your gonna have to sacrifice veg time, plant count, or something to get the density of foliage required to put out that much weight, plain and simple. Anyone find a way to beat the system, fill me in;)
...like i have said before.....no method will be right for everyone....... one of the most rewarding things about what we do, is finding our own way, and moving forward with purpose.....

....feels good to be inside again.....vegging/ML'ing....looks like 10/15 girls or 67%....there may be a really late showing boy in there still, but that is alright, i could use some pollen, getting low on "gift" beans.....i culled 5 boys within 5 days, then nothing for 6 more, then positive on 7 gals and ? on 3.......but like i said before, the 3 ?'s are probably girls, but i won't mind if i get a late boy....but it looks like i have plenty of options to choose from as i only have 10 spaces to fill.....the ones that do not make it this round will most likely be the stretchiest ones of which i will clone thus making them a little more user friendly for the following run......as you know, structure is very important to me as far as selection criteria is concerned, so i am sure there will be a few that simply does not make the grade.

...the stout statured plants will be ML'ed 8 heads, and the stretchier phenos will be ML'ed for 16.......a grower can limit the ammount of vertical in stretchy strains by simply creating more heads distributing the energy through a manifold with a greater number of ports..... one of my goals this winter is to learn how to work indicas and sativa dom strains together in the same space...i think i can make it work with the modular floor system, clone vs. seed, and a pre-determined number of ML'ed heads....

...my primary goal this winter is work with TGA and Subcool by producing beautiful "glamour" shots in the studio.....so my focus has switched from maximizing yields, to smaller, prettier plants overall....they will be less crowded, and more mobile for moving in and out of the studio....the magazines have taken notice of my work.......that,along with Subcool's support give me a lot of fire to push to become the best photographer i can be.

You deserve man ... Since this is my first run with mainlining went to 4 heads for the stout (indica dom) and 8 for the lanky (sat dom).

How many nodes you let them grow ( after all the mainlining work ) before 12/12 ( i saw somewhere you saying 2 weeks veg but that is how many nodes ) ?

Thanks man ... All best

awesome I am looking forward to your results. I have topped a few of my most recent 12/12 from seed and I can already see the potential of veggin/mainlining.

I enjoy growing multiple strains and the way I do it works well right now but my plant counts is too high... another thing is to get my sativas to stay as low as my indicas I have to tie the shit out of them and they endup being so spread out in the room that I never want to move anything until harvest ,.. which makes it hard to inspect for bugs disease and simply to water them.

Keep doing what you do, this main-lining technique is becoming as famous as Sub`s supersoil! Too bad you can`t sell it!

hey nugs, I just had a crazy idea. What if instead of starting the main line on the 2nd or 3rd node starting it higher up like on the 7th or 8th node. more main stem less offshoot. will also be easier to water.

sure....good way to make room under plant.....

Interesting. So there's nothing special about the original lower nodes. You can establish the mainline anywhere on the plant.

What a week I am having  left for a couple hours today and came home and could hear my ballast shutting off and on investigated and found this View attachment 2395417 What i get for buying something from china. It's a timer by the way.
Mojo, have you thought about building a switch? I did earlier this year and it works sweet and cheap to build. I'd be glad to help you if you're interested.
