Is this Root Rot?

Hey guys im back with another grow in the rainforest 66. I am on week 2 of veg and i noticed a few of the plant have some brown growing on them and I just wasnt sure if it was root rot since the plants look healthy besides one of them (ph problems in the first week of veg). Here is a list of the nutrients I am using currently:

1. House and Garden A & B 6ml/gal
2. REgular Tap Water 200 PPM
3. Cannazyme 10ml/gal
4. House & Garden Roots Excel 1.1ml/gal
5. House and Garden Drip Clean .4ml/gal

I add A first wait 15 then add B wait 15 then add ph down wait 15 min and the ph is at 5.7-5.8. I wouldnt think i would have root rot since the enzymes im using seem to fight against it but i guess sometimes you never know. I do have some H202 on stand by in case it starts to get out of control. I just changed the resevior yesterday and they look healthy but ynk.

BTW the strain I am growing is Green House Seeds: The Doctor
I cant wait to see the results from this strain since the re did it.

You could have root rot. You need to provide a picture to be sure. Enzyme products are not needed in Hydro and in fact could wreck a havoc and cause root rot. Enzyme is better for organic and dirt growing. Check out heisenberg tea.

I understand where your coming from but I've been told by some reputable growers that this better than h202 and would prevent root rot. Although I've never had problems when I used h202. So if I do make the switch should I just stop using cannazyme and roots excel and go with h202?

If anyone is familiar with house and garden nutes or canna that would be awesome as well to see their insight

H202 will magnify that problem.. use the tea or aquashield and res temps below 70 or so will help. You shouldn't be using roots excelerator at that stage of plants.. at least I don't.

Are the roots just Brown cool and crisp felling to them or are they brown and slimy feeling to them.

What is your res. temp?

I use and grow a product called great white - Mycorrhizae to help prevent my roots from getting rot. I also brew a tea and use that to and I will add some great white to my tea a few hours before I use the tea as the mycorrhizae dies off.

I have used House and Garden nutes in fact I have used their entire line of nutrients / additives. It might be staining of the roots but that shit looks pretty slimy too si it mighty be root rot. If you let your water get above 70 degrees it probably is root rot. Keep your water cool dude like under 70 degrees. Use frozen water bottles. Also does your res stink ?? If it stinks like rotten eggs thats a sign of root rot.

These are helpful tips. If you know how to brew a tea or understand organics you might be able to fight it off, if not the easiest thing to do is JUST KEEP YOUR WATER COOL.

The House and Garden feeding schedules will tell a grower to use it all the way through the 2nd or 3rd week of 12/12.

Update: I believe it isn't root rot for a few different reasons, the res does not smell at all, the plants are growing very quickly and the dark brown does not seem to be very slimy. I guess it's just staining from the roots excel. I assuming with root rot typical at some point it starts to affect the plants pretty badly.

Btw the temp inside the res is about 72 degrees and I'm going to throw ice cubes in there every few hours to keep it in the high 60's unless one of you believe other wise. Thanks for the help guys, love this site!

Your ok at 72.

Dont use ice cubes as they will melt fast and water down your res. Use frozen pop bottles.

Learn how to grow and learn how you apply great white to your res. to help prevent root rot.

That does not look like root rot yet! 72 should be fine, but getting your res at about 66 - 68 would be better. That looks like the Cannazym working on dead root material, as long as you have some new root growth that is white you will be ok.

Wow, you must have posted the pictures as I was typing heh. To answer your question, you should stop using cannazyme and roots excel in Hydro but continue to do so in soil. I can't say I have any experience with H202. So, hopefully someone who does can chime in. Aquashield is the simpliest way to remove the root rot, but the Tea is the best method. From your pictures they seem to be stained and possibly in the early stages of root rot. Keep an eye on them and you shall find out. :).

H2O2 will unquestionably help him assuming his roots aren't simply stained by nutrients.
