I have always wanted to visit Ireland. Both sides of my family are Irish. What is the best season to visit? Any places you can recommend to stay, or things to do? I want to experience the countryside. It looks beautiful. :leaf:

best time i think is spring or late summer for the wheather. summers just seem to be wetter. dont expect too much good wheather do.
great if u like green scenery, golfing , fishing, outdoorsy stuff. I think the west is the nicest.

Thank you!! The wife is more into city life, but I am taken with the rolling green hills I see in movies and pics. I want to have a pint in a local pub. Do they really break into song? Sorry if its a stupid question, but I am truly taken with the idea.:-o

best city Galway for nite life etc. most pubs have music some more traditionel sone not. if u want a singsong look for open mike night.

mild here last night thank god....

on my way out to feed them now, pen47tex, sounds like your after the regular touristy stuff then hit kerry, and dingle, if you want then hire a car and take in the rest of the country..

we have some great citys to party in and the best scenery in the world to take in while travelling.......

Sounds great!! The wife said she would be up for Ireland, if I agreed to also take in the sights of Italy. A bargain has been reached!! LOL. Now time to do the research. Thanks so much for the input.:leaf:

well when the time draws closer to your visit, i`mm sure we here can direct you to the best spots around the country..

Ireland only has one season , cold and wet

So went to water the girls and spotted a problem.
First off looked like the roots were pushing up the soil on one,
after a closer look it was a fuckin mushroom pushin up.
second and a bit worse I picked about 5 suspect sacks of 2plants. Looks like they hermied.
