Like what, maybe 8% body fat? WOW!
IDK how they measure that stuff, but it can't be much....
You're not far off. I was 12% years ago when I was in training. I've just been a bit ill recently with bronchitis so I'm prob 8% now!!!

Back to the thread tho, from the outside you can see a post-athletic sporty body but on the inside I'm sure my lungs aren't great. Had 2 radiographs this year though and ok.

LOL. I first started with 12%, then thought, what if I remember wrong, and 12% offends you, so I changed it LOL

It's cool!! You could've said 5%! I know there's more meat on a butchers apron but I don't care!! I eat all day!

I use it to my advantage when stalking the young ones, like Heph!! ;)

i'm 35, so does that count as an older member of RIU?

i was diagnosed with diabetes at 15 and didn't deal with it very well until i turned about 25... i have recently been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease due to the lack of control i had in my younger years as a type 1 diabetic.

i used to be an active person, hiking, climbing, kayaking... i was an eagle scout. but since my ckd diagnosis, i have had to dial back my activities. i haven't been camping in almost a year now and my kayak is sitting in my garage unused and dusty. i just don't have the energy to do what i love to do anymore.

if i could go back, i would have the tightest control over my diabetes and i wouldn't have started smoking cigs... i have quit smoking (not weed) but am told that the smoking is THE worst thing a diabetic can do, that it basically caused my kidney disease.

i will end up on dialysis within the year according to my doctors.

I don't see ribs showin', so that's perfect :)
I don't like 'em to outweigh me, or have the belly holding up the breasts, but I don't like to feel bones either.
LOL, you're too young, we can't call you a 'cougar' either.

Let us see. What problems,,Hmmm
Basic stuff like back, knee, stomach surgery and a massive heart attack destroying 49% of my Heart.... What a Fucking outstanding ride on life's highway to Hell. Wouldn't trade it for anything..:-P
What would I contribute these problems?
Genetics maybe, 25% genetics and the rest to my prior poor diet, previous life style and dangerous work environments.

That's too bad man, kinda like me though, when I went in the hospital for my heart the first time, back in 2005, it was Valentine's day and they kept me for 6 weeks.
When they released me, they said if I was still around in June or July, to start thinking about a transplant, so I guess I'm on borrowed time.

Let me win the lottery and start over a 7 years of age and I will tell you what was nature and what was nurture.

If I had all the money I spent on video games, Diet Pepsi, Corn nuts and lemon drops throughout high school and my second job, I could probably start a nursery and open my own dispensary.
