[noob grower] How am I doing?

Hello, my little plants are nearing the end of their second week since sprouting (now day 13 since they popped up) I planted six seeds and all six sprouted :smile: I'm just looking for some general input on how they're doing and if I'm doing good on growing them :grin:

(They are a sativa, afghani strain) I know it's not recommended to grow sativa indoors (or for a first grow!!), but I've done a large amount of research and I think I can achieve a decent harvest based on what I've learned.

The tallest ones are right around 5 inches.

How am I doing? :D

Man, I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but you need WAAAAYYYYY more light, see how they are so tall, and falling over each other and leaning to the side?
They are trying to grow closer to the light.
It's called 'stretching'.
If any way possible, maybe get some shish ka bob skewers, and stake them up until you can get a fan blowing on them GENTLY to help strengthen the stems.
Also, planting in that aquarium is probably not the greatest idea, as it will magnify heat and reflect light in a funny way.
Looking at pics 1,4, and 5, shows what looks like heat damage or drying of the leaf tips.
If they get big enough that you repot them into bigger pots, you should try and find some tall pots so you can pile some soil up and bury some of the stems.https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/429767-replant-those-long-stretchy-stems.html
I think the best thing for you to do is some reading in the indoor section, you can pick up a lot of "do's" and "don'ts" by following threads or reading the 'stickies'.

I don't really see any heat damage, but Chucky covered it all for you. You will definitely want to bury those stems in the near future. You can sink them all the way up to just right under your first true set of leaves, and new roots will grow from the buried stem. Not trying to belittle you, but those plants are a perfect example of why you need to keep your light as close as possible early on. The one on the right in pic4 is probably pushing 10" and just started its second set of leaves, which makes it difficult to bury the stem in the next transplant without putting a tiny plant into a huge container..

Look into getting a 2-4 fixture T5 or T8 and that should cover your aquarium nicely while they are in there. But you will need to circulate some air in there. Your soil looks nice and the plants are healthy, just need to keep that stretching in check and you should be good.

Five inch toothpicks need support! I cringed when I saw how tall they are and still free-standing.
Brace them up and jack them up under the light. They are stretching to get to the light. Help
them out.

too stretchy. they look healthy though.

when you plant them, plant them deep and take out some of the length.

Another thing you can use is bamboo shish ka bob skewers.:lol:

Make sure you have a fan going facing towards them also, because, especially after watering, if you don't it will get humid in there.
